There is a place in the Bible, in the Old Testament, that has a reference to the GREAT TRANSGRESSION, and the reference is in Psalms 19:13, and says that David said that if when he was kept back from "PRESUMPTUOUS SINS," and they did not have dominion over him, that then he would be "UPRIGHT," and he would "BE INNOCENT FROM THE GREAT TRANSGRESSION."
WHAT WAS THIS GREAT TRANSGRESSION?
This reference to a great transgression is only found in the entire bible but once. Is there any way to find out what it was? or is? Let's see what we can come up with. In the nineteenth Psalm, David has a lot to say. The first six verses are about God and his handiwork. Verses seven through fourteen are the ones that shed some light on what David says about "the law of the Lord." First, he says, "THE LAW OF THE LORD IS PERFECT, CONVERTING THE SOUL:...(the apostle Paul in the new testament should have read this one.)
Perfect = entire or complete.
convert = turn back.
In other words, there is nothing that can supersede complete. The "LAW" AND THE PRACTICE OF IT, is what "CONVERTS" the soul. What else does David have to say? The testimonies of the Lord "MAKES WISE THE SIMPLE." The statutes of the Lord are "RIGHT",and causes the heart to rejoice, and the "commandment" of the Lord is "PURE" and enlightening the eyes. Let's examine this a little closer. Do you know what the word "simple" means? Simple, that is the word in the original, which is, "pthaiy," means, silly, that is seducible, foolish one. It also comes from a root word that means "to delude." You see, the Bible is not that "simple," meaning it is the opposite of complex, which in the English language is simple, but simple is not the opposite of complex when used in Psalm 19:7, for simple here means a silly, seduceable, foolish person, one that can be deluded. It clearly says that Gods law, which is perfect, transforms a simple person into a wise person. the opposite of wise can be naive, and another word for naive is gullible which can also be termed as simple. So, what does the commands, the testimonies, and the statutes do for an individual? They make the simple which means foolish wise, and makes the heart to rejoice, and most importantly - IS - IT IS "ENLIGHTENING."
ENLIGHTENING - MAKE LUMINOUS
Could it be that those that are deluded are the simple ones that will readily group with the others in a "religious effort" to try to placate, and appease God, and do it in a foolish way that constitutes "THE GREAT TRANSGRESSION?
"THE JUDGMENTS OF THE LORD ARE TRUE AND RIGHTEOUS ALTOGETHER."
JUDGMENTS--A VERDICT, (FAVORABLE OR UNFAVORABLE),PRONOUNCED JUDICIALLY , ESPECIALLY A SENTENCE OR FORMAL DECREE.
Look at it this way. Breaking the law of North Carolina concerning speeding, say 65 in a 55, and you are caught, the judge will convict and fine you. By the same token, if the law of only going 55, and not any more than 55, can result in a reward of not having to pay a fine, and in the long run can even result in the right to continue to have an operators license in order to continue to have the privilege to drive, could constitute the same as being rewarded! Here is where verse eleven of this chapter comes in. Moreover by them (the judgments) is thy servant warned: and in KEEPING OF THEM there is great reward. David said in conclusion thus far, that he desired that "the words of his mouth, and the meditations of his heart, be acceptable in the sight of God. Here again I bring to your attention what David said. He said that if God would keep him back from "presumptuous sins," and that is to say sin that is bold and outright, sin that you know is sin, not "ignorant sin: That they had no dominion over him, that he would be upright; and that he would then........................................................

What are the SECRET FAULTS OF VERSE TWELVE? In the book of the law, leviticus, is a sacrifice ceremony that is suppose to take away the "sin of ignorance." (Lev.4:2)
David is saying that after he has done his best of keeping the law, the statutes, and commands of God, that if he had unknowingly committed some "error"- that he desired God to cleanse him from his "secret faults." So- when it is all said and done, so to speak, after this life is over, the way that you and I have conducted ourselves in our lifetime, if we are to believe anything that the bible teaches, it is that an Almighty God will judge you and I FOR OUR DEEDS: PURE AND *SIMPLE. (* NOT COMPLICATED) I meant to tell you that the word "simple" has only two definitions in the Old Testament, and both refer only to being silly, that is, foolish and seduceable. Whereas, in the English language the word simple means "single, uncompounded; uncombined; elementary, or, free from complexity.
In the book of Daniel, that book that the "fundamentalist" make into some future yet-to-happen prophesy, is some indication that "the prince" of chapter nine, was suppose to put a stop to the "daily sacrifice and oblations" of the temple worship.
The sacrifice of animals did stop, for it is no longer practiced in the Jewish religion today. (It didn't stop right away though.) Was the sacrifice system that is spoken of in chapter nine of Daniel, "THE GREAT TRANSGRESSION?" Did the SACRIFICE OF JESUS have anything to do with it?
When you take what David, Micah, Hosea, Jeremiah and Isaiah, had to say concerning the sacrifice, as an appeasement method to placate God in order to get Him to have mercy on us, you should be able to see that the very teachings of the Epistles of the alleged apostle Paul himself, that tell us that THE LORD JESUS CHRIST himself is that final sacrifice to God that will appease him forever as the right approach to God, could very well be

After all, how can anyone expect to take the commandment that is one of the ten, which is, "THOU SHALT NOT KILL," AND THROUGH AN ACT OF VIOLENCE AND CRUELTY TORTURE THE FIRST-BEGOTTEN OF JOSEPH AND MARY, AND EXPECT ANYONE BUT A SIMPLETON WHO HAS NOT BEEN ILLUMINATED AND CONVERTED BY GOD HIMSELF TO BELIEVE THIS NOTION OF THE WRITERS OF THESE EPISTLES?
I have a theory based upon the bible, that is, the bible as a whole, not hand-picked verses of scripture: Not just some portions of it, which is the favorite way of the "official church" of creating "doctrine," and that is- that "THE GREAT TRANSGRESSION that is not disclosed in the Psalms of David, is ....the doctrine in the Bible, THAT IS, SOME OF THE DOCTRINE, that being, the doctrine concerning the atonement/sacrifice system that is predominantly in the teaching/doctrine of Paul's Epistles to the churches! The doctrine of the "virgin" birth, the sacrificial death, and the badly resurrection, and all that the sacrifice system that is promoted to redeem men and women of today's modern christianity entails! Could THAT be THE GREAT TRANSGRESSION?
In one way the evil that the above system of redemption, requires ignorance, while on the other hand, to those that are enlightened, it would be apparent. I can not understand for the life of me, as the saying goes, how God could require any blood sacrifice for a sin of ignorance! A blood sacrifice for the sin of ignorance, or a blood sacrifice for "presumptions" sin, either one surpasses my understanding! So, is the sacrifice of Jesus, and the idol that he has become, the GREAT TRANSGRESSION?

Let us examine for a minute just what "pesha" (transgression) entails. "Pesha" means a revolt. A rebellion no less. A trespassing, and in this case it is to trespass of the law of God.
I will get right to the point! The only transgressing that can leap over the boundaries of race, time, and religion, is the transgression of the law of right. The Bible portrays a GOD, a God that gives as his nature and character as being just, good, merciful, and a God of equity and truth, a God that hates evil and sin and wrong! This God, if it is an ALMIGHTY GOD, would not just be the God of the Jewish race of people, even if the Bible does clam them as being His chosen people; but would be the God of all races of people! So, if "WE" the people, that the Bible calls the GENTILE, are set on using this most Holy Bible as our own, that was first a history and "rule book" for the Children Of ISRAEL, the wise should know, and be able to realize, that the trespass, great or otherwise, has to be one of three things! The outright "presumptuous" sin of not obeying the "right," that is, what our own conscience dictates to us as being wrong, or, adhering to a "form of worship," with all it's ceremony and ritual, not to mention the "breaking of the SABBATH, (No, I am not a Jehovah's witness) for the Sabbath was one of the ten, and as this is a "BOOK-REPORT" on the Bible; At the least we can do as "keepers of the faith," adhere to the "right" of the Bible, and eradicate the "wrong!"
Why is the obeying of the law, whether it be the law of God, or the law of man, always right? No penalty! Man's law may not always be just laws of equity, but they have a penalty if they are trespassed, now don't they?
This one thing I am sure of, and that is this David of the Bible knew nothing concerning the New Testament, and what it entails! The CHURCH, the modern day Christian, they are the transgressors that relate to this David of whom the Bible says penned the GREAT TRANSGRESSION, that is, the mention that there was such a thing as a great transgression.
If the Bible has truth in it, and if you deem it infallible, then what David says, is it not true ? David said "the law of God was perfect, and the law of God was right, and sure, and pure, and it, the law, converted the soul! You who believe all the Bible, have to have the ability to believe both Psalm 19:7, and Hebrews 7:19; two verses in the same Bible that both conflict, causes confusion, and present a controversy, not to mention the confusion of God saying He is not the author of confusion!**
HOW DO YOU CORRELATE ALL THAT?
You have to build a damn big bridge to span all that! Do you know what an absolute is, compared to something dubious and questionable? To believe all concepts, notions, and ideas that the Bible put's forth, is to be the "simple" rather than the wise, and do not blame me for saying it, for it was David who said it, not me!
In conclusion, if there is one, I say this! TWO WRONGS DO NOT MIKE A RIGHT! EVIL DOES NOT PRODUCE GOOD! THE VERY BEST YOU OR I DO WILL MOST LIKELY NOT PRODUCE PERFECTION! (T least not in one lifetime.)

WHAT HARM COULD THERE BE IN STRIVING TO KEEP THE LAW WE SAY CAME FROM GOD IF THOSE LAWS ARE GOOD LAWS, AND THOSE LAWS DO NO HARM TO OUR NEIGHBORS, AND THOSE LAWS KILL NO ONE, NOR THE BELIEF THAT WE PRACTICE IS NOT AN EVIL BELIEF LIKE THE BELIEF THAT JESUS' SACRIFICE REDEEMS,- BUT ONLY GOOD BELIEFS ARE BELIEVED?
DID JESUS NOT HAVE IT RIGHT WHEN HE PROCLAIMED THAT THE COMPLETENESS OF THE ENTIRE LAW OF GOD WAS, ...

Eleven times it says it! Can you do it? It is not as easy done, as it is said! If we all attempted too though, there would most likely not be as much effort practiced in trying to please Almighty God with some "silly" sacrifice system! That is my finely word! Signed Bob Gray Smith
