This story looks at the possibily of seeing a miserable furure for the world and then having an opportunity to change all that from happening
The Storyteller And The Time Travellers

He awoke with the sound of birds chirping outside the window of the cottage where he was staying .The owner of the cottage had gone away for a few weeks and she had asked him to look after the place in her absence .
The storyteller had always been provided for traveling around the country . Everywhere he went he was made welcome and everyone who met him offered food and shelter . In return he would bring stories and share news about the goings on in different towns around the country .
He slowly got out of the bed and stoked the fire into life . As the flames leapt from the embers, he added a few more pieces of turf before sitting in the armchair .
Sitting for a moment in silence allowing the energies around him to invade his beinglk . Then the day began like any other for him , isolated in thoughts that captured him for a while . Although captured in thought he was not imprisoned by the thoughts because he was in complete control of the thoughts that came . The thoughts were not part of him they just came to him and once he was aware of their origin he either sent them away or kept them for some consideration for further development .
The thoughts came to him like colourful images in his subconscious mind .
Within that medium he took total control over them and collated them into categories.
Some thoughts were in transit from another dimension while other thoughts were direct telepathic messages from time travellers . He always knew when he would be visited by them in a physical sense because the thoughts would materialise and after that they would appear in a physical way .
The time travellers walked in and out of his life like strangers on the shore exploring ,
and seeking life in the material world .
They always brought him information about a future place and time where he would soon have to travel to through the time portal door of the fourth dimension .
The storyteller always enjoyed their company and felt privileged to be in their company . They were always able to reach him in his thoughts . Deep down in his subconscious mind there were levels of trace like states . As he meditated deeper, he saw himself walking down pathways and then down steps to gates where he entered into a brief journey where time and thought disappeared ,. It was there where he usually spoke with those who used telepathic thought .
Most of who were time travellers . They were aware of the storyteller’s ability to communicate with them and always gave him an indication when they would make their appearance .
The storyteller had been told that they were about to visit him and so he returned back from the deep mediation where one of the time travellers had already come .
He smiled and said
“Hello again Storyteller. Its nice to see you again. “
The storyteller replied
“It’s always nice to see you here . Welcome back home “
Every time one or more of the time travellers would pay a visit the storyteller always tried to make them feel at home .
“So,Storyteller ,how happy I am to see you again . there’s a reason I’ve been called back to visit you ?”
He looked intrigued and said .
‘It’s been a while since your last visit and as you already know the knowledge of the ancients , which are in your keep . So now the future has already been written . How are things in the fourth dimension?
“I am ready now to tell you why I am here “
Said the time traveller
At that moment the storyteller’s mind was infused with images from another time and another place that explained in detail a miserable life where crime was in control and there was no mercy for the poor and countless numbers of people living as slaves for those who were in control . The vision of a future world was one of chaos and cruelty where most of the people were living as convicts being punished and persecuted for being poor . They were kept in cells during the night and in the day the worked for those who were in control.
When the vision finished the time traveller explained
“What you have just seen is a future that could happen if we don’t intervene .
I don’t know long this would take to happen but we must prevent this world form ever becoming a reality . This world would be an awful place for people of all ages where life would just an existence of cruelty and control by those who have profited from their lives of crime . Your mission in this world is to overturn the tables of the corrupt and put an end to the rise of the corporate class . In order for this to happen you have to open up the vaults of karma for a negotiation of justice before its time”.
“So how can I do that . Is there a key to open those vaults ?”
“You already have the key storyteller . It’s the gold medallion around your neck .
You have the key between this world and the next so when you next walk through that doorway into the fourth dimension you are going to receive a list of names of people that you must pass on to those of us who are already here in your world .
We have always been among you but there was never a need to make it known .”
“So, after I bring those names back from the fourth dimension I would have to make contact with time travellers who are living in this world .“
“Yes, and once that happens a karma can be exchanged between our dimensions that can prevent those people from being born.”
“So, it’s as simple as that ?”
“It’s really not that simple , it’s more like changing the future with perfect knowledge from those who oversee life from a timeless place far beyond this world ,“
‘So, we can change the future then ?”
“:The creator of all life in the universe allows us permission to make changes for a better world and to prevent the destruction of many good people . This is an act of karma that involves the truth being spoken and once the word gets out , change can take place . So, your mission is to reveal the truth from another time and another place to those who we will tell you to see . The revelation of the truth will prevent a terrible mistake being made in your world that would allow a criminal class to rise and take control of your world . “
“Go now storyteller m the doorway between our worlds is about to happen .”
At that moment the gold medallion around his neck started to glow .
The door now has been established for your journey ,
The time traveller then vanished ,
Outside the window the storyteller saw a shaft of light descend from the sky and inside the pillar of light was a doorway that opened .A tall being stood at the door and urged the storyteller to come . Immediately he responded and walked through the door into the fourth dimension , where he was handed three books of names from the keeper of karma that were to be handed over to a small list of people in the country where the storyteller was from . The keeper of karma smiled and said ,l
“Now go back and the world a better place “
On his return to the third dimension the storyteller made his way to visit the three people he was given and after he passed on the book of names to each his mission was complete . Now the future was in the hands of those who could create a new balance in karma that would prevent those people being ever being born .
While still fantasy, your story Did have a prediction and a way to solve a future problem by letting karma do the job for you. I agree, karma seems to have a powerful effect on those who are bad, finally catching up with them.
In the original version of this story, the Time Machine, the deep future was divided into two races of people. It took the intervention of the time travelers to change the way the outcome came out. Very cool.
