The waves of the ocean caressed my toes as bubbles formed when they hit the shoreline. I watched as they were being pulled back by the tide. I was holding a bottle of beer and a slice of meaty pizza. I was just enjoying myself and prancing around. The music in my car was just enough for me to hear. The whole ambiance was so relaxing. There weren’t many people as well at the beach that day. After the pizza, I was thinking of going on a quick swim. Suddenly, the music stopped. I was startled that my own car honked at me twice.

“Erik!” I uttered blandly. I called out to him and gestured him to come out of the car. To which, he obliged. I laughed at him uncontrollably. “You look prepared.”

Erik was topless and wearing blue board shorts. He was also on barefoot.

“I smelled and heard the ocean waves when I got the sense of you.”, he explained smiling. “You are not drunk, are you?”

“No, this is my first bottle. I got more there.” I pointed at the cooler next to my car. “Suit yourself.”

“No, I don’t drink.”

“Alright. Pizza then.”, I offered.

“No, GMO.”

“Jeez Christ! Starve!”, I told him as I ate the entire slice in one bite and gulped the ice-cold beer. “Food quibbles, Erik.”

“I function better when I fast and you know, eat healthy stuff, like real food. Mind your own business, Theo.”, he snapped at me.

“My grandpa used to say, own the state and not the other way around.”, I teased him.

“Be the occupant, not the prisoner.”, we chimed together.

“But we are different, Theo.”, he finally said. “Here.” He handed me my assignment.

I took the white envelop from his hand. Immediately, I felt the energetic signature attached on it. It was pure love, unashamed, and untamed. The power was so immense yet there is subtlety and wisdom.

“It’s from one of the High Council, Althea Aki.”

“Oh, I remember her.” Images of her flashed back when we were at the dandelion plots. I checked the recipient’s name. It was Samira Aki. “Sister?”

“Yeah, you can say that. They belong to the same soul group or cluster personality that of which already becoming their own Source. But Samira had her sense of awareness a bit late than most from her soul cluster. At least that’s what I have heard. Deliver the letter, Theo, so you can satisfy your curiosity.”

“Copy that.”

I sat inside my car and with envelop in my hand. I graced my fingers on her name. She felt almost the same as her sister, but you’d feel the differences. They had been accompanying each other through eons of time and in different garments of physicality. Samira’s energetic imprint also was as powerful just like Miss Aki’s. What could be on this envelope, who knows? It made me baffled.  I refocused my attention on Samira. Samira was carrying jewels of health, wealth, poise, elegance, and royalty. Of course. There was something else I could feel in her. Gold, there was so much of it in her frequency. Got it!

Even when my eyes closed, I felt Erik smirked at me.

“Eat the damn pizza.”, I mumbled at him grinning.

Moments later, I was no longer inside my car. I caught a glimpse of a bird’s eye view of the place Samira was at. It was dazzling in gold. The whole place was cocooned in a golden auric field of light. The energy was so pure. Hey, I am still on Earth.

Yes. It was Erik’s immediate response.

My environment changed and I found myself in the middle of the city of gold, Biringan City. I was standing next to a fountain. The water pouring out of it was the clearest I had ever seen. It was sparkling with the rays of the sun. I touched the water, it felt as if it was coming from a spring. It was so alive. The people walking by were all dressed in royalty and jewels. They carried themselves like majesties.

No one is a peasant in Biringan City, Theo. It was Erik. They carry the state of wealth, affluence, and prosperity well. They own it.

“But it never owned us.”, someone uttered behind me. I turned around and saw this six feet tall with long black wavy hair woman. She was a mixture of Hispanic and Filipino. What a beauty. She was wearing a long beige dress with bangles of gold on both her wrists.

“Thank you.”, she said. “I’m Samira. People here are normally beautiful, attractive, and mesmerizing. The soul’s energy can freely flow here. Thus, we have better physical garments. Outside of Biringan, mostly people are like caricatures of their true selves.”, she said with giggle.

“Oh, how does it feel talking to a caricature?”, I taunted lightly. She responded with a laugh.

“Amusing. But, it doesn’t mean their soul is any less. No, no, no- it’s the earthly conditions. It impedes the flow of energy. By the way, where are your manners, messenger? You haven’t introduced yourself.”, she said and sat like a queen on the cemented margin of the fountain.

“I’m Theo and I came here to bring you this.” I handed her the white envelope.

“From Althea, hmmm.”

But she never took the envelope.

“Yes.”

“This is why the elders here reprimanded me, Althea’s little stunt. No one can come here without a formal invitation from a resident here.”, Samira explained. “I surely did not invite her.”

“Am I not welcome here, Samira?”, I asked her.

“First of all-,” she stood up and boy was she taller than me. “That’s Miss Samira to you. Second, have you realized what you are wearing?”

Then it hit me. I was still wearing my shorts and topless in a place where royalty is of a natural essence. I heard Erik laughing in my head boisterously. You knew?! You are an ass, Erik.

“I vouched for you, messenger. Let’s head to my house first. You can use my husband’s clothes. Then we can talk.”, she said firmly.

We walked by the yellow bricked sidewalk past restaurants, cafés and dress shops. The people here are taller than the usual on Earth. They were all wearing jewelries of gold, emerald, and pearls, but mostly bangles of gold. They were stunningly attractive, both men and women.

City of angels. It was Erik.

“Would you like to introduce yourself, messenger?”, Samira asked gently.

“You can hear him?”

“Yes, Theo, we are telepathic here.”, she cleared out. “People can easily access your thoughts if you keep broadcasting it like that.”

I’m Erik. I’m more like Theo’s handler.

Great. Now I am shutting off your transmission towards him. Consider this a private line you have no access to.

Before Erik could protest, I could no longer hear him.

“People here don’t actually need to work. These shops are hobbies that enriches their soul experience even more.”, Samira stated while giving a tour of the town.

“Like an inviting demo game for Earth.”, I interjected.

“That is one way to look at it. You must be steadily in tune with the frequency of affluence to be able to be here or let beauty, wealth, and affluence be your normal state of consciousness. That is just one requirement.”

We finally reached her house. There was a huge lawn of green grass in front of it. The pathways were lined with pink and white petunias. She had a two-story house that was made of thick strong Narra wood from top to bottom. We stepped inside the house, and Althea was already there waiting for us.

“Being High Council does have its perks.”, Samira fired at her sister.

“Well, it was not that easy getting in here. I needed the messenger to have the letter to be the bridge to connect me to you since you shunned me and cut off our telepathic cords.”, explained Miss Aki.

Miss Aki looked at me and commanded. “Messenger, hand her the letter.”

Samira lightly took it from my hand. “I was afraid you were going to show up. You know you are violating the rules without elders’ permission.”, she shot at her. She opened the envelop and took out the letter inside of it.

“I hope you haven’t forgotten your Earth contract.”, Miss Aki said in a firm voice.

“I’ve been outside of Biringan several times. I have lived with the terrible conditions of Earth.”, Samira fired at her.

“Yes, true . This time it is different. You are to go outside the comforts of Biringan and have your energetic frequency make a difference.”

“The souls living in the lower densities of Earth don’t need any help. They are well equipped, and they have free will, remember?”

“You have an Earth contract, Samira. This is the last one. Honor it. Being here in Biringan does not count. It’s like those petty immersion programs the wealthy undergoes to experience poverty for a week or month. Then go back to their luxurious lives feeling enlightened. It doesn’t work that way. Even when they were living in horrific conditions, they are still operating in the consciousness of wealth, security, and comfort. You must lose all of it. Back to zero, amnesia of the soul, and we’ll see how you maneuver with the all the mix of worldly conditioning from your parents, friends, and people you’ll meet.”

“Althea, you know what is in my contract. The words you spewed out are just making it a really good earth commercial. Besides, I have already went to hell in Earth and took me time to attain the consciousness that I have now.”

“We are warrior souls. We can overcome anything. I had the same contract as yours, remember?”

Memories of Althea living in the worst earthly conditions flashed Samira’s mind. She was just gaining awareness back then, a developing soul personality. She was learning through witnessing Althea’s life. She didn’t have a physicality or form, but she remained a constant source of love for Althea like the other soul’s in their bundle. She had always been there to cheer her up.

“I’ll always be with you, Samira. Our soul group is always going to be with you, every step of the way. We will be guiding you.”, Althea consoled her.

“Okay- “, Samira sounded a bit defeated. She knew that this time, there was no way out of it. She could no longer prolong her contract. “Those memories had always been in our collective soul group, and it had been a great source of information for us all. I’m ready, Althea.”

“Great!”, Miss Aki exclaimed. She then looked at me. “Messenger.”

“Miss Aki?”

“Your work here is done. Thank you.”

“Samira?”, it was her husband calling out to her from upstairs. He was coming down quickly and gave his wife a quick hug. “Own the most beautiful of states, collect it like jewelry, let your soul wear it. And no matter what, have the conviction over it.”

“She’s ready. She’s as old as when time was invented. We are her soul’s lineage. She has a good background, an array of memories and experiences that would be encoded with the DNA of her physical garment. We are always with her.”, Miss Aki reassured her husband.

“I know, Miss Aki. I’ll just miss my wife. That’s all.”, he tried to conceal his emotions, but his voice was trembling.

“Yari.”, Samira gently called her husband’s name, held his face, and kissed it.

“Ehem!” Miss Aki signaled to me.

“Oh right, I’m sorry. I’m gone.”

Here I was, back in my car at the passenger’s seat. Erik was also there at the driver’s seat.

“What happened? I got cut off.”, Erik demanded.

“Miss Aki appeared to have her sister fulfill her last Earth contract. She said it’s the same as hers.”

“Ooh. That’s a hard one.”, Erik muttered. “If I was Samira, I’ll also procrastinate over it.”, he jokingly added.

“What do you mean?”

“She might have owned the consciousness of wealth and affluence, but she’ll reenter Earth plane with her memory wiped clean. Based on her contract, if it was truly similar to Miss Aki’s, she’ll be exposed to the harshest conditions of life, gruesome even. If she isn’t careful, she might get lost in the state of lack and discover all the things that that state of consciousness has to offer. She must maneuver out of it and choose to occupy another state of consciousness. Up to her if she’ll allow those conditions condition her or build her own convictions.”

“Be the occupant, not the prisoner.” We both chimed in.

I got out of the car and took another beer. “You want one?”, I offered him.

He just gave me a look.

“I’m kidding, Erik. It’ll poison you. You have food quibbles with so much belief and conviction in them. I don’t!”, I teased him and laughed. I ran towards the ocean as he looked as if he’d like to kill me.

The End. If you’ve gotten this far. Thank you so much. I appreciate it. Enjoy your day.

I'm sorry, but all of the pseudoscience fiction got to be as I read. I wish I was more into the story because I believe somewhere you have created some lessons for the reader while writing these contracts in another realm? But there is a large readership out there that likes this kind of subject matter, so I'm sure if you continue to write to you have a book, that will be a new accomplishment for you.
