Mr Pinkertons Garden Of Visions

Buttermilk and honey dewdrops glistened in the morning sun on the leaves of spearmint trees . The butterflies fluttered by with the eyes on their wings opened to the mystical presence of fairies that lived among the buttercups in Mr Pinkertons garden .
Mr Pinkerton lived in a Toadstool Cottage in Mossy Greenbank Glen where a silver steam trickled among the blackberry and blueberry bushes in a very quiet place where dreamers liked to come and rest . It was just the most perfect place to be as there were more than enough dreamers in Mossy Greenbark Glen with nothing better to do . The most dedicated dreamer amongst them all was Mr Pinkerton .
Everyone knew that for as long as he had lived there he never had enough time for dreaming and for what its a worth Mr Pinkerton had put his best foot forward and his head lifted upwards when he walked around and around his garden everyday He often thought of better days ahead where greener grass would grow and rainbows would colour the sky everyday . He would often think to himself , with a little bit of luck maybe I could make everybody happy with my blueberry juice and then we could all have a laugh at life and chase after all our dreams that live inside our heads
Mr Pinkerton was always seeing the things that he perceived to be true even if they were just a dream because he knew sometimes the importance of the things he saw were just a dream and in his opinion dreams make us do the things we do .
So he devoted every minute of everyday doing what he did and all his life was spent as a dedicated dreamer living a lifetime of being absent from the reality of life and trying to make his way through all the walls and barriers that everyday people built to keep him out .
Outside his Toadstool Cottage he built a rainhouse tree for all the birds to keep them comfortable and dry and he also made them special things to eat and drink .
This attracted a little bluebird called little dipper who was a happy bluebird who loved to sing songs everyday . As soon as the sun rose he would fly to the rainhouse tree in Mr Pinkertons garden where he would take a bath in the birdbath that was there . Also around the branches of the rainhouse tree there were some hanger upper water and blue berry juice slurpers and a suspended millet seeder feeder container where little dipper could sip away all the blueberry juice he wanted and eat up as many millet seeds as he could take .
Also around the rainhouse tree there was a pussy cat called Jeannie with her ginger fur and her gentle purr who would come waiting and watching for the right moment to grab little dipper the bluebird who would come for his bath and for something to eat and drink . Littrle dipper would always have a good laugh as he took his bath because he knew what that pussy cat was trying to do but the little bluebird was much to fast and far too sly for that pussy cat and he had also wings to fly away the moment little Jeannie would try to catch him .
There were some fairies there who lived there inside the rainhouse tree and the pixies loved to share their stories and songs all night long when the sun went down and the buttercups danced under the moon . The Fairies came to live there because
of Mr Pinkerton’s belief in dreams . They felt welcome to be there and watched in wonder as Mr Pinkerton would often come and light a fire at night , sending smoke signals up to the moon . Now and then he would even send up colourful kites and lanterns with candles and secret wishes to the man who lived in the moon .
One night the pixies noticed Mr Pinkerton seemed lost and found it difficult to return to his cottage . Then the next night he tied a string to his front door and took it with him down to the spot where he lit his fire . It was then the Pixies realised that Mr Pinkerton was blind . Each night he used the string to find his way back and firth to his cottage home . He had made wishes on bits of paper to get back his eyesight and sent them to the moon every night on balloons , kites and inside lanterns .
The pixies granted his wish and miraculously Mr Pinkerton was able to see again .
From that day on he lived happily everyday making blueberry juice and sending smoke signals to the moon thankful for all the things he could see .
