In between the mountain and the sea, a dragon flew through a jewelled sky with the sun rising like a golden ball suspended for the world to see ,
The King sat on a throne upon the ship built to carry all his wealth over the sea of Vanity Sea in search for a new kingdom to rule .
The huge wealth that he had collected made everyone aboard the ship envious and the King wore a smile as he saw the green in their eyes turn their hearts into stone .
He had ruled for a long time in the Kingdom and had acquired a lot of treasure but was greedy for more ..
He thought to himself
“What good is wealth and beauty if no one can see it”
So he put all his treasure and wealth on a big ship and took hundreds of oarsmen to row the ship around the seven seas for the whole world to see what he owned . The King needed a voyage to boast to the whole world how rich and powerful he was .
He had secured a deal with a sorcerer to bring a dragon to protect his ship and all his treasures . Wherever the ship went the dragon was not far away.
On the voyage they stopped at different places and when an opportunity arose the King and his crew took more treasures from many tribes who could not defend themselves from the dragon .
The weight of the treasures on the ship was growing and the oarsmen found it difficult to maintain speed through the sea , If ever a wind came the sails were hoisted to assist the slow speed of thew ship .
One evening as the ship was approaching an island the King and crew were getting ready to make another treasure raid . The Horns man of the ship called the dragon for battle . From the sky above the dragon appeared and began its descent down to attack the native people of the island . At that very moment an electrical storm moved in and a bolt of lightning struck the dragon . Destiny struck twice at the same place as a fireball fell out of the sky above hitting the dragon with such force , the dragon was killed . As it plummeted down from the sky the dragon fell on top of the ship sinking it with the King and crew who all perished . A strong wind from the Easy arrived with a sound that resembled a funeral song .
The treasure on board the ship was now buried in the depths of the sea .
No one knew where it lay and the angry sea kept its secret of what it held .
A Kingdom lay there at the bottom of the sea .
How much was it worth now and what good was all its wealth .
What was once a beauty so great had lost its glitter and shine . For an eternity now it was lost and the Kings fate was now complete . There was no banquet feast or celebration for him now , only a sad lament the King and his crew and the beast who protected them .
