The little girl would sit and think of the things in her world. She thought of school and her friends there. She thought of the disscussion that went on there today. The little girl also thought of things that seemed to make her wonder.

She wondered why her mother didn't like her as well as her brothers. Her mother always yelled at her in a mean way but she didn't yell at her brothers. She felt her mother didn't like her but she couldn't find out why. The one thing she did pick up on was that the father had been married before her mother had married him.

The girl had been told by the mother that the father's first wife had blonde hair just like the little girls. So this made the little girl think that the father liked her because she looked like his first wife. Or was it because she was small and pretty? These are the things the little girl wondered.

 She didn't really know if the mother knew of the games the father had taught her to play with him when they were alone. The father had told her that the mother knew that they were learning alot about each other. And that they liked to be with each other. He told the little girl that when he told the mother that he played games with the little girl, it made her happy.

She always wondered if the father was telling her the truth about all of these things. Was he telling her the truth? The little girl thought her mother knew about the games because the MOTHER was the one who left the little girl alone with the father many times. She could have taken her when she left the house. She always took her brothers with her when she went to town. She would even take the brothers that were younger than the little girl. But NO she left her alone with Him and still put her into his bed when she wasn't going to be at home.

As she sat and pondered these questions she got MAD at her mother and she got MAD at her brothers. No one ever tried to help her stay away from the father. And stay away from him is what she longed to do. She would always think of ways to keep her distance from him.

She wouldn't sit by him when they watched TV. She wouldn't volunteer to go with him anywhere not even to the back yard or to the barn. Not after she had went with him to the Uncles house to do the chores. The little girl knew that she was suppose to mind her parents. They had taught her this at home and she was taught this when she went to Sunday School. So she does as the father tells her too.

So the child sits and waits..... until she can get away. Or finds a way to get the father to stop playing the games he likes so well with her. As she thinks tears fall from her eyes and rolls down her cheeks. If only she wasn't so pretty, small and soft all over like the father likes.

The Child Sits and Waits.....and wonders why God has abandoned her this way. Why doesn't he answer her prayers to him? She prays the same prayer every night.

Now I lay me down to sleep. I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake. I pray the Lord my soul to take. And God Please Make The Father Stop Playing The Games With Me!! I will be a good little girl and I will always love you. God Can't You Make The Father Go Away?--Amen. The Child Sits and Waits..... and thinks.
