Laura, er, Carmen-- you have writing talent oozing from your fingers! Yahoo! enjoyed this piece so very much. It was like being inside the head of the hapless Laura. Being in a focus point, one that will bring food to the table where there has been little to none gives the desperation to succeed no matter what. But often the circumstances where one can succeed is just what you've described here. OF COURSE Laura's mind wandered, created alternate scenes, potentials. Especially I liked her finale, and saving grace attitude. Did she get the job?
I enjoyed this immensely. You have done wonders in this piece. What an eye-opener for me. Now I know that nothing is as easy as it seems. What an ordeal for poor Laura!
oh my goodness, Carmen! Poor Laura's ordeal made me realize I'd rather edit a whole manuscript than audition for anything. Your attention to detail drew me right in. The fantastic Liza part is a stroke of genius. I laughed.

And I thought getting known as a Writer and Artist was hard! Great write. I felt your characters like a movie was being played before me. Your actress may not have recieved the part but you did!
