Success Story
My success story hasn't actually happened yet. I haven't sold a novel, landed an agent, fielded a movie deal. People don't recognize my name on a book cover and immediately buy the book just because it's one of mine. When all is said and done, I'm just a newbie to the field, lucky to have a few published stories to her credit.
But my success story is that I'm still writing. I'm here, trying to get the word out on my story collection. After twenty-odd years of writing, after sheaves of cold rejection letters, after countless occasions of getting my hopes raised and then dashed...I'm still here. I'm still writing.
