Success Story
Scheduling book signings with the major book stores have been fairly easy. Scheduling with a private store was a different story. The store I wanted to schedule with is in another state but not far from Charlotte. I talked to the manager several times and he finally told me that he had no cookbooks in his store. I thought that was the end of my quest. I quickly told him that it was about time he had at least one in his store. After saying it I thought he would probably just hang up on me. Instead he laughed and wanted to know what Saturday would be convenient for me. I now have that book signing in 2 weeks. Never give up.
Another great book signing. I've just returned from my book signing at Waldenbooks in Concord, NC. It was a success. The store had already sold some of their books before the signing and had 11 left which sold out and I ended up using 14 of my own books. That gave me a total of 25 books for this one signing. The manager was so happy with the results that she has scheduled me for another signing in November. I call that a success story!
