SHORES OF RESURRECTION
Only when the waves of life
Had pulled me under
Only when the undertow
Had dragged me to a distant shore
Only then did I realize
I was alone on the island
Only then did I realize
I was on the threshold of resurrection
Death had freed me
I surrendered to the call
Relinquished control of my life
Begging for safety
Yet finding only death
All my fears had not saved me
From this death
All my pleading had not turned away
The fate of my life
Only on the shores of resurrection
Was I able to see
See the magnificent plan
Of my destiny
Now, I know why
Part of my life had to die
