The great appeal of RV travel to most people is the free and easy, go where you like, stop when you want and stay where you will, lifestyle. No other holiday offers so much freedom of choice and opportunities for ‘doing your own thing’ but even so there are things that need to be decided before you leave home to make sure your trip is hassle free.
They say that money is the root of all evil but whether or not that is true, money certainly plays a large part in the planning of an extended holiday. You must have sufficient resources for daily living expenses, fuel costs, caravan park fees and incidentals plus a reserve for emergencies.

Wonderfully illustrated in full colour, this book is for anyone who is thinking about doing an Australian caravan trip, either with a caravan, motorhome or camp trailer. From advice on choosing the right RV, planning and budgeting, checklists and packing, Lionel also discusses life on the road including how far to travel each day, where to stay overnight, bush camping, where to find television reception, travelling with pets, communications, emergencies, plus much more. Finally, Lionel takes the reader on a trip around the country, complete with route notes, whilst dropping in at some of his favourite places along the way.
