The Fragile Heart was written during the most difficult trials of my life. I lost three
children, was diagnosed with Chrons disease, and lost my job after working in a career
for more than ten years. Anyone who has ever had to deal with difficult circumstances
that have caused heartbreak can identify with the excruciating pain and hardship it can
bring. During those times, it was an uphill struggle to find comfort and peace of mind
again.
In this book, we will talk about how to experience comfort, deliverance, but most of all, a
complete healing through the Love and Word of God. I pray that this book touches and
ministers to your heart, and that you find solace in knowing that, while going through
difficult times, you are not alone and God can heal your broken and fragile heart.
Excerpt
Let’s begin by talking about the condition of your
heart. There are so many different adjectives
used to describe the conditions of one’s heart. You
may hear terms like, “loving heart,” “caring heart,”
“golden heart,” “big heart,” “cold heart,” and “hardened
heart,” but very few people want to talk about
the “Fragile Heart.” It’s considered taboo to some,
and it may be a bit diffi cult to discuss its reality.
When people admit they have a fragile heart, they
seem vulnerable and too transparent for themselves
and others. You never know just how delicate your
heart is until something happens when you feel you
have lost total control of everything within your
grasp, because of a painful experience that has left
you heartbroken in the worst way.
Heartbreak is one of the most excruciating experiences
anyone will ever face in his or her life. It
leaves you feeling not only helpless, but also on the
defensive. After experiencing such pain, you want
to protect your heart from any further hurt or disappointment.
Many of us have experienced heartbreak
in so many ways. We have experienced hurt from our
broken relationships, death of loved ones, dysfunctional
families, etc. No matter what the circumstance,
God has the power to heal and deliver you.
In my life, I’ve had my heart broken a few times
during the course of relationships or circumstances.
However, I have always given the appearance that I
was tough and usually could handle whatever situation
I encountered. Even though, on the inside, I
was really in a very fragile state, I refused to allow
anyone to see my pain in any way.
Although my heart was broken, it wasn’t until I
experienced one of the most painful circumstances
one could imagine that I found out just how fragile
my heart really was. And, there was absolutely
nothing anyone could say or do to take away the
pain. I realized that no one except God could fix the
situation or pick up the broken pieces and put them
back together. I had to draw closer to Him more than
ever, in order to receive the true healing that I was so
desperately seeking. I needed to fi nd comfort, peace
and a hiding place. It was then that I turned to the
Word of God, because I knew that only there could I
receive the strength I needed.
It all started eight years ago. I was sitting on top
of the world. I was traveling a successful path in my
career. I had moved away to another state to pursue a
career in property management. I worked for a reputable
company that was well known for its luxury
high-end properties. Even though everything in my
life had the appearance that all was well, spiritually,
I was in a different state..

The Fragile Heart will speak to everyone on a very real level as we can all attest to dealing at times with death, loss, illnesses and fear. The duration of the pain associated with these inconveniences is determined by faith, mindsets, and belief systems. It is imperative to also have an emotional support system in place and Mrs. Rainey successfully shares the power of unity in a family unit that helps dilute the pains of life and strengthens ones resolve.

This book is a true page-turner. Everything is filtered in, to you, emotionally. There seemed to be no end with situation after situation, as I continued my read of "The Fragile Heart". Amazing! I was sad, happy, upset and anxious. Not to mention, just about broken at times. And through it all, I was able to understand the commitment in the author's transformation.
