It is impossible to agree on all; to disagree on everything is just as impossible, but if we like a fable, we may live with it: life will be better than with a story we would not choose for ourselves.

The tale is inspired with a London publication of the year 1706, The Morals of Confucius, the Chinese Philosopher, for one T. Horne.

The print does not tell if T. Horne would have been the author, or just a customer willing to include the print with their library. In those times, many translations of Confucian ideas were made; some looked for a way to interpret word sense via Latin.

The book here does not seek disambiguation; it is to offer a possible story. Honeybee is a fictional character, narrated by students as characters of the theme too, who aspire to tell a viable philosophy for life. The volume includes its bibliography.

Excerpt

In me, the feeling is direct and simple, spoke Honeybee from experience. I can love other people, or arts and crafts. I am capable of altruism. My affect for myself yet always is, and I do not think it would be in itself anything wrong or bad.

There would be no justice, should people each never care for oneself a bit. The sense for equality begins with own self; whereas if we do care, there can be no error in recognizing the affect as inner love: the feeling is natural and intrinsic, and it is no manufacture. We would be merely forbidding ourselves a word — for no real reason at all. Love is an elegant shape of a word, he smiled.

For the Great After possibly to become the home of the soul when the physical body has died, it is important to understand this love. The philosopher guessed, inner affect would last as long as the soul would; therefore, getting along with the intrinsic love — in us, and in other beings in the Great After — looked a better idea to him than trying change on the matter. Eternity would not change for the sake of mortal thought.

The love is not a thing to be received. It is in every human being by the original Design, like composure, and it cannot be lost, taken away, or added. It is precious, the reason to live and exist given us from Heavens to be intrinsic love in us all, in every human being. Agreeably to get along with this intelligent idea on Earth already — is in our best interest.
***
We people never are truly sovereign on Earth, he said, because the body can feel pain, need, and craving. We may become individually sovereign in afterlife, where the body cannot press.

To want such sovereignty is natural, but we as naturally expect there are some requirements, for us to be allowed the life. To observation, the Creator is as a brilliant artist and experienced master: the work is known to be good, you only learn to use it right; it will not go to fractions owing to misconduct.

Two principles are as likely, as sure: never to force yourself on another, and never to rob or thieve. Heaven could not be a place they have police patrols.

We like to remember about one Thoreau who said, if you took a plank away from a drowning one, you would not save your true life. We think we would not rob anyone of their plank, because that would be transgression on his or her love for oneself; and we would keep ours, not to transgress on our love for ourselves; but preferably, we’d learn to float and share that wood; draw in air, lie our backs on water.
