In this book, the main character Kayda, learns a few lessons in life about how with love, there comes betrayal and heartbreak. She meets many villains, and many allies. She learns to love her best friend and trust him over everyone else in her life. Kayda is an eighteen year old girl, who just wants to live an ordinary life. But, when she meets Zander, her life is turned upside-down. In Eternal Life, there is lots of action, and lots of sad moments. Zander is secretly a vampire, and her best friend Jake is a werewolf. She finds forbidden love, and has to deal with her own betrayal. She grows up and learns that her life never was ordinary. She finds out that she has magic living in her blood. Kayda learns how to control it, and how to use it to protect herself. The villains, want Kayda just because of the fact that she is beautiful and has very dark powers that they want to use for evil. When Kayda realizes that they want her for her magic, she starts to weed out who is her friend, and who is her enemy. She makes some choices that don’t seem smart, but in the end, they help her out. She learns about survival, and what matters when you are on the run.
This book can be very interesting. It has lots of action and will keep your attention.

I was frightened, unable to speak a word. The air was frigid against my fiery skin. My breath was showing in the night air. Every muscle in my body locked as he walked towards me. His clawed hand reached toward me, only grasping air. His golden yellow eyes searching before he tipped his head and howled loudly. When he snarled and his legs bent, ready to pounce, I screamed. My muscles would not move at all. I tried to run, tried to move, but no matter what, my muscles wouldn't do anything. I was so scared. His lip curled as he showed his sharp teeth. There was a flash of light and a loud scream. Someone had just saved me.
He pinned Jay and turned his cold grey eyes on me. "Run!" I was still frozen with fear. Jay threw him off, and he slammed into the tree. I heard a sickening crunch as his bones broke. The angel slowly stood up and pushed me out of the way as Jay went to pounce. Jay snarled loudly and trapped the angel against the wall. I was still stuck with fear as I watched the angel tear into Jay. As Jay lay in a crumpled heap, tears poured down my face. Was he dead? Jay did not move from where he was laying. The angel's cold grey eyes turned to me. He licked his lips as if he wondered what I tasted like.
