A Novella
Emotional turmoil and distress can break through the toughest of barriers, wreaking havoc on its host and everyone in its path.
Carter a man who once thought he held the key to the world in his pocket, desperately seeks a way to return that key to the original gatekeeper.
There’s no quick fix-it for what life throws at us. And sometimes, it happens all at once. There are times when everything is an emergency and everything is s a priority. Health, financial burdens, layoffs, work and deadlines. How do you juggle?
The Light at the End of the Tunnel describes a man's struggle with depression and anxiety, acceptance of humanity, self-awareness and his intense journey toward self-forgiveness.
Often, people find they have been struggling through too many seasons of their life. The bills keep piling in faster than their paychecks, or deadlines are approaching without a resolution in sight.
It’s easy for anxiety to coordinate a party in our minds, and before you know it, another uninvited guest appears, bringing goodie bags of self-doubt and shame. The name of this guest is depression.
Throughout history, these two villains often cause havoc together, feeding off one another’s strength and trying to determine who can outdo the other.
Unfortunately, anxiety and depression can be a deadly combination. Their strength grows daily, debilitating their host and rendering them helpless. The "host" suffers tunnel vision, only focusing on their stress and worries, forgetting another part of the world is surrounding them.
Or so it seems. The truth is that there is a way to unlock that combination. It involves a lot of hard work, but eventually, the host can become more powerful than the vicious villains. The key is to get help from friends, family and professionals before it’s too late.
With time, they can see that there is truly a Light at the End of the Tunnel.
