I fell in love with Author JUDITH ANN McDOWELL's style of weaving a story so consistent and with characters one feels you can reach out and touch, they became ALIVE. That from reading Author JUDITH ANN McDOWELL's "ROUGAROU", which I promptly followed by reading "ROUGAROU II".

Then I read "FATED MEMORIES", and now "LONG AGO MEMORIES". Totally different genre from ROUGAROU.

I am a fan of American History, and both "FATED MEMORIES" and "LONG AGO MEMORIES have an abundance of detailed American History. TIA takes a forbidden trip from her upper-class home in Boston by train to Cut Bank, Montana. She is intent on visiting her Grandmother, meet her Grandfather for the very first time, and learn of her real mother and father. She has been reared by wealthy Aunt and Uncle John and Martha Sexton. What she does not know is why her Grandfather holds her in such contempt, having never met her.

LONG AGO MEMORIES is such a powerful story, written the way Master Writers wrote in the period 1880 through the 1920's. Ms. McDOWELL's depiction of the Ranch life, the Montana country is so real and her characters so full of life it makes you visualize being there, watching the characters as they move through each scene.

LONG AGO MEMORIES and FATED MEMORIES are real love stories, and more. They are packed with suspense, mystery, action and rich history of the period. LONG AGO MEMORIES dissects the bias that existed between Settlers and Native American Indians. LONG AGO MEMORIES proves that love between a man and a woman is stronger than any obstacle inserted in its path.

I was asked, which one of JUDITH ANN McDOWELL's novels I enjoyed the most? Truth is I LOVE each and every one and will keep JUDITH ANN McDOWELL on my Radar so I can be among the first to buy and read anything she writes! I bet I would be entertained just reading her grocery shopping list!

LONG AGO MEMORIES is a FIVE STARS Novel and should we be fortunate to see it on the silver screen, it is sure to sweep the Academy Awards.
