Great read. Easy to get into. I was hooked from the beginning and found myself wondering what kind of mischief Butch and Willie would get into next. Very well written, I could picture everything, from the broke down bus, to the mansion, to the witch and the ghost children. I felt myself being transported into the words on the pages and found it difficult to concentrate on anything else.
This is the fifth book by Judith that I have read and I am a huge fan, everything she writes is so real and believable with enough details that I can clearly see the characters and their surroundings, but not so many that they draw away from the story.
The Hay Fort is one of the best bools that deals with the supernatural that I have read in quite some time. I highly recommend it for anyone who has even a small interest in the supernatural or just likes a good ghost story. But be prepared to do nothing else until the last page because it's next to impossible to put down.
