Within the pages of this book lies a world that we as humans once knew. It was a world of peace and harmony, a world that could never be destroyed. Yet when man first came to this world with his greed, all that stood around him began to wither away. There was a single forest however that remained untouched, a dryad by the name of Melina living deep within it. Around her the forest thrived and continued to grow, concealing the world that she knew all too well away from what rested outside of it.
But now humans have found their way into her forest and have gone against the one law that it has. The appearance of such creatures in her forest creates a conflict of which she had never thought possible, she having fallen in love with a human many years before who also followed the law of her forest. Yet those around her have come to not trust him, blaming the human druid for the appearance of those who have now invaded her home as well as that of their own.
Now Melina is faced with a single decision, one that is bound to break her heart and force it to go in two different directions. Will she remain within her forest and abandon the love that she once knew, or leave her home for the love that she now wishes to keep? Now she is uncertain as to what she can do, and yet as more time passes a new danger is brought to her forest; a poison of which she cannot push away. Will Melina be able to save her friends as well as the forest that she has grown to love? Will she be forced away from her home and if so, would she ever leave? So many things are about to happen, and this is only the beginning.
