Book One of the Corrales Valley Trilogy, set against the turmoil and sweep of Southwestern history, this sprawling novel is seen through the eyes of an early pueblo family, and the early Spanish conquistadors who conquered them. "Seasonsof Harvest" begins with the early Anasazi who abandoned their homes in the red rock cliffs of southern Colorado to seek a new home on the banks of the Rio Grande River, and concludes with early Spanish conflict and settlement in the Corrales Valley.

I found this a good book which gives a real
feel for the history of this area. It was
easy to close one's eyes and visualize the
scenes in this book as they unfolded. I am
not sure of the facts in this story, but it
seems to be consistent with other books I
have read on this area. I found the writer's
style easy to read and it kept my attention
throughout. I look forward to the rest of
this saga of the Rio Grande Valley, and the
Corrales community.
