Be Who You Are is my attempt at a collage picture book, replete with neighborhood imagery.  I can see the New York City basketball courts, both semi-famous and nondescript local, in my mind's eye.  I can hear the most familiar compliment 'you're growing like a weed' as if it were yesterday, and woe to the runt of the litter.  I have assembled pictures that remind me of back-in-the-cay (and probably now-in-the-day), with humerous exaggeration (but done in love).  While this and all of my stories are meant to be read to small children, I hope I've put enough into it to bring knowing smiles to the faces of adults doing the reading.  Enjoy!
