Darlene worked as a writer for the Addison Review to help pay her bills. When she had no work to do, she would quietly work on her manuscript, which she hoped would be a novel someday. After many submissions, she received rejection after rejection, but she never gave up.
Darlene’s marriage to a Marine made her life lonely, as her husband was away a lot. As a result, her heart drifted to a charming and alluring man named Diethelm, who came into the magazine company looking for a business deal (or so he said). He saw Darlene and felt drawn to her beauty and innocence.
“Hello. Is your name ‘Bella’?” He smiled. “Because you are beautiful indeed.”
She blushed. “Thank you. My name is Darlene.” His compliment caught her off guard, but she quickly remembered where they were. In a more businesslike voice, she asked, “What can I do for you?”
Diethelm smiled. “I completely forgot when I saw you.” He put a finger to his chin, pretending to think. “Oh yes, I am here to see your Editor. Is he in?”
Darlene wondered where that first line had come from. “She,” Darlene corrected, and wondered if he’d made up the answer on the spot. “And she is out. Her assistant is in.”
“Would you care to have lunch with me?”

A great adventure and a lesson in the power of goodness and love
Sometimes, when a handsome man invites you to lunch, it is wiser to refuse. When the lonely young wife Darlene is invited to go to a restaurant, by the very handsome and mysterious Diethelm, accompanying him was a very unwise thing indeed to do. She set a series of nightmarish adventures in train, that would take her from her quiet life in California to gilded captivity in Germany as the intended bride of her witch suitor.
Darlene is not the only one in her family to be dragged into danger. Her husband, Dylan, also becomes enmeshed in the intrigues of Diethelm’s family coven, when he is kidnapped from his Marine base in Afghanistan by the pagan sex siren Tasha.
As its title suggests, this is a book with a very strong Christian ethos. But it is not just a good book in the strictly biblical sense. While the great love that God has for all of us shines out from the pages, it in no way diminishes its effectiveness as a really exciting and suspenseful story. It might be a Christian book, but it will keep people of all faiths and no faiths on the edges of their seats. I absolutely recommend it to one and all.
Powerful Story
I really enjoyed this book. The author tackles the subject of good versus evil in a story with lots of twists and turns that keeps you reading. The story is a powerful reminder that as Christians we need to be very careful of what we open ourselves up to but that God is capable of defeating the powers of darkness when we call upon His name and that He can bring redemption and restoration. I was given a copy of this book in return for a honest review.
Triumph of Good Against Evil
Darlene was an author working for the Addison Review to pay the bills but her passion was the manuscript she worked on in her spare time. Diethelm comes in one day looking for the editor of the magazine but soon begins flirting with Darlene not caring that she is married. Darlene is a Christian but soon finds herself flirting with a world of darkness and witchcraft.
Dylan is married to Darlene but soon finds himself getting seduced by a wiccan.
Diethelm and Tasha the Vampire and the Witch are determined to make sure the marriage between Darlene and Dylan end.
Tasha and Diethelm are determined to get Darlene involved in Witchcraft just as her Grandmother had been.
Will Diethelm and Tasha be able to Lure Dylan and Darlene into a world of darkness or will there Faith remain strong even in this.
In no way does this book glorify witchcraft in fact it shows the dangers of Christians and others heading towards that dark path.
