From the Editor
The purpose in putting together this anthology is to harness poetry through social media and to engage actively in sharing poetry with other poets and bringing poetry to general public.
This collection of poems will be the work of a group of poets connected through the global professional networking websites such as LinkedIn.com, and in particular, but not exclusively, the LinkedIn group called, “Poetry, Review and Discuss.”
Submissions were called for by 31st August 2012. There was no specific brief in the expectation that the themes and style of the anthology will evolve organically. The pool of work has been made anonymous and will be read by a team of independent readers before being returned to myself as editor. Where there is a congruency of theme, idea or style, these poems will be grouped together; those that fall outside this emergent consensus will not used in the anthology.
The resulting volume, I believe, will set out a portfolio of work from a representative group of poets which will not only illuminate, educate, and entertain, but also will show how poetry, and in fact all Art, reveals and shares our humanity.
