An Impressive First Novel!
This novel is a fictionalized account of a true story that takes us to the underbelly of the Mexican drug world. It is terrifying to think that young girls can be swept into this scene of drug, sex and violence. The reader can't help but feel the pain and horror of the parents as they frantically try to find their daughter. I could almost feel the panic and desperation as if she were my own child. As a first effort, I was very impressed and look forward to more of the same from Karen Scioscia!
