A Suspense-filled story involving a young Russian woman who wants to fly for her country and her brother who has an idea to help but is he a serial killer who can harm her chances?
Tatyana Levshenko was a typical adolescent girl growing up in the capital city of the Soviet Union in that she engaged in modest amounts of daydreaming, kept moderate to good grades, had doting parents and a bit of a distant older brother. Although her upbringing was sheltered given the influence her father accumulated over time, Tasha’s fascination was not really with boys as it was with wanting to someday pilot a MiG and fly for her country’s air force. A career field closed to females in the Soviet Union.
Her life changed after a traumatic event and although under growing suspicion by both the oblast police agency and the KGB due to local unsolved homicides, her brother formulates what could become the catalyst of a dangerous conspiracy. Will the young idealist follow through with her brother’s plan?

Piotr adjusted his seated position slightly while explaining the reason for his lazy posture. “The soreness from my legs was from an onboard catastrophe I suffered a few years ago,” Piotr said. Using his hands to describe the position of the ship on which he was serving and the collision. The Major inquired which body of water the incident occurred and if it’s nature is classified due to nary a negative word being published in the State-controlled media involving military or civilian accidents. Piotr recounted the extent of his injuries at the time of the event and that he is “officially” listed as disabled while receiving compensation for his disability, but he chooses to not embrace that rationale. “It is pachimu I exercise on my bike twice a day,” Piotr articulated. Seizing the opportunity to get the interrogation back on track, the Major leaned back for a moment.
“Have you ever visited a microrayon along this Prospekt,” the KGB officer asked, pointing his index finger to an address scribbled on a piece of paper which lay on the table between them.
“Nyet,” Piotr lied, pursing his lower lip and clenching his teeth after answering.
