Spoilt for Choice is the story of Dr Ed Diamond, who has to choose between the job that he loves and his girlfriend, when she moves away. Their relationship ends and he throws himself into his work, unwittingly becoming the object of a patient's relative's attentions.
And Dr Clare Jennings is pregnant at last - but will anything go right with her pregnancy?
Through Clare, Ed meets her consultant Zoe and life seems to be going well until there is not just a terrible accident but also an emergency threatening not one life but two.
Who will survive? Will the medical centre lose two of its most valued doctors? And what about the baby?

Gripping
I think this is my favourite of Carol's novels so far. I really liked Ed and was gripped from the first page, determined he'd have a happy ending. It was lovely to feel part of Lambdale again,from another person's angle. The book was full of engaging characters, many to love, some to abhore (oh yes) and some to laugh about

Could not put it down. Really well written. Each book seems to be better than the previous one.

The author brings to readers a story filled with well presented and interesting characters who have a variety of personalities. Their relationships are believable. The novel flows smoothly and is easy to read. The descriptions of the setting and food add much to the narrative. The ending was a total surprise. Highly recommended.
