Often, the problem in a human and animal dynamic lies in the owner’s own disorders, personality traits, or lack of experience. In my experience, this happens with the majority of cases. When an owner chooses a cat or dog, they usually fail to research the typical characteristics for the animal’s species or breed. Instead, they try to “humanize” their pets by giving them human motivations and then expect “human” behavior from them. This disconnect causes many problems between humans and pets.
