The Holy Spirit led me to discover that there are at least, twenty-eight scriptures in the Bible that pertains to the heart, so I took that and ran with it.

"It is a good thing the heart takes the blood through a purification process, because sin is in the blood. My pastor taught that to the Bible stody class. I thank God for the hearts of my family members who attended my initial sermon. Family members should support one another. Marriage should be described as two hearts joined together as one. The only motive for marriage ought to be love. However, there are marriages of convenience, business-type marriages, those that result from the female being pregnant and those where couples finally decide to make it legal after "shacking up." Even believers marry people God has not joined them to, and some of us wonder why the divorce rate is so high. It was so simple in the old school; when a couple loved each other, they got married, period. If it does not last "until death do you part," it was not powered by love but perhaps lust. People don't take marriage seriously anymore. They start out with the wrong attitude; "If it doesn't work out, there's always divorce," they say. The marriage is doomed before the vows are exchanged. Let's face it, marriage is not the ultimate commitment these days as it's supposed to be. Couples put more work into planning their weddings and receptions than they put into their marriage. Even those who have never been married, such as me, know that marriage takes a lot of work to succeed. Some mistakenly think the marriage will take care of itself---not. My mom used to say, 'What it takes to get them, it takes the same thing to keep them.' We do it backwards. We date to marry, but the Bible teaches us that we should marry to date. The word date/court is not mentioned in God's word. It only speaks of marriage. When we marry to date, we don't commit fornication. In today's society dating automatically includes sex. Besides, we don't really get to know someone until we have lived with them. Couples who "shack up" use this as an excuse."
