This book, A LONGING OF THE SOUL, will help the believer learn what caused God to hear and answer prayer in the different dispensations of time, expressing the divine viewpoint of human history. It will also reveal the role they play in the current age, the Church Age, ensuring that their prayers reach heaven.
This book will help us identify what should precipitate our prayers, i.e., whether we’re operating in carnal or spiritual motives. And if it’s determined that we’re occupied with ungodly influences, how can we address them so that our prayers to God the Father will be heard?

Ever wonder, am I praying for the right things? Should I have a set time to pray? How long should I pray for?
In some churches, a prayer session might occur before the message has been preached, and most likely, in others, it takes place after the teaching. Still, for other faiths, there’s a designated time or times for the assembly to gather together for prayer. There are even segregated prayer times, some for men and others for women. But one thing is for certain: there are many misconceptions about prayer.
Have you ever thought, God will never answer my prayer because it’s self-serving?
Is there such a thing as foolish prayers?
Would you agree if we could answer these questions, we’d have a much deeper insight into this topic?
I’d like to share a biblical story that you might find has an amusing connection with the topic of prayer. Here’s a question to consider that aligns with it.
If your family owned an animal farm, and you, one of their sons, were asked to find some of the missing animals, i.e., donkeys, and if you were unsuccessful, would you seek out a man of God to help you locate them?
Please turn to the Book of 1 Samuel.

9:3 And the asses of Kish Saul’s father were lost. And Kish said to Saul his son, Take now one of the servants with thee, and arise, go seek the asses.
Some of the animals owned by a man named Kish were missing. So, he sent his son, Saul, and a servant to find them. After going here and there, they were nowhere to be found. As they were about to return home, the servant mentioned to Saul that there was a seer (prophet) named Samuel, who lived in Ramah, who might be able to help them.
9:15-16 Now the Lord had told Samuel in his ear a day before Saul came, saying, To morrow about this time I will send thee a man out of the land of Benjamin, and thou shalt anoint him to be captain over my people Israel, that he may save my people out of the hand of the Philistines: for I have looked upon my people, because their cry is come unto me.
When Saul and his servant arrived there, Samuel was waiting for them, having been told by God the day before of their coming and the divine purpose to be bestowed on this unsuspecting son. He told Saul to join him at a feast in the eating of a sacrificial animal in a large room at the highest point of the city, where, after blessing the food, the people in the vicinity would join them.
9:20 And as for thine asses that were lost three days ago, set not thy mind on them; for they are found. And on whom is all the desire of Israel? Is it not on thee, and on all thy father's house?
He also let him know that the donkeys had been found and that he didn’t need to worry about them anymore. And then he disclosed something that probably shook him to his core. That God had chosen him to be Israel’s king. Here’s a question to consider.
Was there any indication that the request Saul made to Samuel about finding out where the lost donkeys might be located was foolish?
God indeed used this situation for divine purposes. Nonetheless, the finding of these animals wasn’t disregarded. This tells me that God is interested in the affairs of our lives. Have you ever lost something you felt embarrassed to ask God to help you find it? After reading this story, have you changed your perspective?
