I had just returned from a year's combat tour flying Jolly Greens out of Thailand. I was supposed to be a new instructor pilot at Eglin AFB, Florida. How did I wind up in a North Vietnam rice paddy just outside of a prisoner of war compound at Son Tay, some 23 miles northwest of Hanoii, at 0230 hours on the morning of November 21, 1970. Guess I need to go back and explain a few things .
