A gut wrenching journey through an 18th century gothic countryside. Full of lechers, bogarts, and caretakers; there is no time for Wolfgang to rest as he searches for his missing son. An unforgettable experience of darkness and pain.
Sixteen years have passed since the death of Lord Egleaseon, the vampire lord who sought to be human again, defeated by the famous noble lord, Wolfgang. One day after cleansing the surrounding countryside of vampires, Wolfgang returns from his latest expedition only to be faced with the horrible reality that everything he held dear to his heart has been taken from him. His wife is dead, his home is burned, and his son is nowhere to be found. Only the smallest inclination leads him to believe his orphaned servant is somehow responsible. He is desperate and provoked, and will do anything to get his son back, even if it means journeying the path of darkness. Thus begins the story of Wolfgang.
Excerpt
"As I sit waiting in the seclusion of my carriage interior, I smell the smoke filling the woods. Too soon I hear the horrific cries of Michael’s family as they watch their brother burn with their home, their mother, and all that they know. Why am I so weak?
With the jostling of the carriage, I know Kronklich is back aboard his post. A quick snap of the reigns signifies our depar- ture. In time, the smoke clears and the ride returns to normalcy. I watch the trees stream by quickly as neither Kronklich nor myself speak. The sun is well on its descent by the time we come to rest the horses for a bit. We are at a crossroads where mer- chants have set up their wares. I remain in the coach pondering in silence the horrors that were committed earlier. I imagine the boy biting his mother’s neck while she was holding him close. Such a disturbing thought."

Wolfgang is an amazing read :) it's a mixture between bram stokers Dracula and Sherlock Holmes with mystery and gore and horror. It's a fast pace adventure of a father who goes on a journey into the dark side to get back his only reason of living.
