Some currently relevant issues to consider are why do some claim that the Bible does not condemn homosexuality?
Because we now have a better understanding of original languages, the grammatical, historical and cultural context and finally realized that for millennia Jews and Christians have been wrong since they did not realize that the Bible approves of it?
Because the politically correct cultural movement de jour demands that homosexuality not be condemned and that politics, laws, society, theology, etc. be changed in order to fit with the homosexual movement’s worldview?
Why are homosexuals so overrepresented, and positively so, in various forms of media?
Because they are such a vast majority that it makes statistical sense?
Because there is a concerted effort to deconstruct, redefine and re-educate society so as to have it abandon Judeo-Christian principles?

I believe that you will find that while this reply is about homosexuality, it is premised upon hermeneutics: the science of how to go about accurately understanding a text by applying grammatical context, historical context, cultural context, immediate and greater context, it considers genre, etc.
In short, it is considering and applying an entire text’s contexts, concepts and contents so as to arrive at conclusions via exegesis, deriving from the text that which it states, rather than via eisegesis, reading preconceived notions into a text so as to derive from it that which one wanted to presuppositionally see therein in the first in a circular manner of reasoning.
It is a lesson in being like the Bereans who checked what they were being taught against what the scripture stated and they were praised for doing so (see Acts 17:11). This is a lesson in how to think about what is being asserted and how to conduct research and discern truth from falsehood or accuracy from error.
