It is the purpose of this first volume to relate the fascinating story of King Arthur's happy reign and the many valiant deeds of himself and his knights.
Who could have ever imagined that a marital problem could give rise to the fascinating story of King Arthur? But this is what happened. The king of Britain Uther Pendragon wanted to marry the fair Igraine of Cornwall so she could become his queen. Unfortunately, Igraine was not in favor of this marriage and so Uther ask the help of a magician named Merlin who solved the problem, and Uther and Igraine married happily. To reward Merlin, the king promised that he would give their first son to Merlin to raise him. And so happened; when the son was born, Merlin got the baby and baptized him by the name of Arthur.
After a few years, King Uther became seriously ill and before dying, he said that his son Arthur will be the heir to the throne. No noble did not even know the existence of an heir and so the nobles who were present with few thousands of followers were ready to claim the crown.
With the help of a Mystic Sword, Arthur was able to convince all commons and nobles that he was destined to inherit the realm. Finally, he was made a knight and after that, he was crowned king of the land.
