Conditions of the Heart
is a collection of self-love poetry that inspires the reader to love, embrace, nurture, and focus on themselves as they do others. Conditions of the Heart
Everybody has a heart and it thumps one beat at a time. There are many degrees of love, some can cause hearts interruoted, but belive me when I say hearts don't lie. Just look at the blueprint of a heart and follow the recipes for a healthy heart. You can jumpstart your passion because pain doesn't live in the heart. Listen with your mind, body and soul and recognize sometimes giving love is like space for rent. Your heart will know when it's time to make a union, and no matter what anyone tells you, physically hearts don't break, but it may feel like it. You can have blocked arteries and, God forbid, a cardiac arrest from continuing bad habits and keeping your dreams and purpose locked down like a heart on the down low. Remeber, love the emotion you should give to you as you do others, because if you don't you will show no signs of life. You are responsible for you, you don't have to carry a heavy heart, just keep pumping love. We all have conditions of the heart.
After reading Conditions of the Heart, I wondered if Ms. Blount was
lurking outside my windowsill catching all my business. Her blunt
(no pun intended) assessment of emotions, actions, reactions,
dilemmas, thoughts, motions, and raw day-to-day existence came
through page after page. (The reader will be challenged to check off
how many poems were speaking to her/him.) I was challenged to check
off how many poems were speaking to me. Conditions of the Heart is a
sonnet of spoken words that breathes out truths.
