Mary let herself go, getting lost in the sway of the branches, imagining… if she were a tree, or better yet the lunar shadow of a tree without any solid substance she might disappear with the rising sun. The thought stirred a slight smile as she allowed herself to sink deeper into her mind's eye. If she were to disappear, where would she go? Into a slumber to be awakened only by the next full moon with her airy silhouetted arms raised high toward the night sky? Possibly into nothingness, like an eternal sleep. That would be okay as well.

After reading Between the Rage and Grace I had to know how it all began. As I waited for Behind the Rage to arrive I began to worry that i would know how the prequel would end. I was prepared for the fact that it might not hold my interest. I'm glad to say i was oh so wrong. The story of Mary Magdalene kept me captivated till the very end. The twist and turns of her journey from a young girl to a woman kept me reading for hours. The authors style of writting is refreshing and what I thought was going to be a predictable ending was just the opposite. This is another great read by Janna Hill.
