Becca hadn’t wanted to move to Boston, but her husband’s need for success, took precedence over her feelings.
Not only did Becca feel out of place being in unfamiliar surroundings, but her husband’s drastic changes, made her regret her decision to go. Stan’s new lifestyle became indifferent; he was drinking heavily, and his late hours robbed her of a husband, and their two young sons, of a father. His new personality made Becca fearful, and her brief escape one night on the Boston streets, led her to a chance meeting with Michael. He became her friend and her confidant, and his good looks, wit and charm, soon won her heart, as she had won his.
“He was her guardian Angel,” she’d told him, but was he? Michael was concealing a dark secret. A secret she could never know.
They sat across from each other, stretched out in the hot tub. She amusingly watched as the bubbles played with the hair over his chest. Her eyes closed as she pictured him and her together, their bodies entwined as they fulfilled each other’s fantasies. She let out a quiet moan, but his laugh shook her from her vision.
“Did I miss something?” he asked with amusement.
She felt embarrassed as she looked at him. “I was getting caught up in the moment,” she explained.
She could feel the hair of his legs against hers. ‘What harm would it do?’ she questioned herself. ‘If Becca didn’t want him...’ She watched his muscular arms flex as he stretched to get his drink from behind him. They had progressed from coffee to cocktails, at her urging. He turned back to notice her attentive smile.
“What?” he unknowingly inquired.
“Nothing,” she replied, fighting her smile.
“You have a strange look on your face,” he relayed.
“Sometimes my thoughts tend to wander,” she explained.
“Wander to where?” His words seemed nervous.
“You don’t want to know,” she led.
“Maybe you’re right,” he resigned with a tempted grin.
“Do you think it would be wrong if we…?” she stopped, hoping he’d know what she meant without her saying the words.
“You mean if we slept together?” he guessed.
“Yea,” she confirmed, feeling her heart pound with anticipation.
He found himself speechless. His walk through life had taught him better, and even considering the thought of indulging in her offer, made him feel sinful. “We hardly know each other,” he nervously reasoned.
Her brows lifted and she laughed. “Isn’t that supposed to be my line?” she teased, sucking on a piece of ice.
“Doesn’t that mean anything to you?” he challenged, fearing it didn’t.
“I don’t sleep around, if that’s what your asking,” she revealed, “but I feel drawn to you.”
“What about Becca?” he pressed.
“Becca?” she repeated, not getting the connection.
“Wouldn’t you feel you were betraying her?” he challenged.
She shrugged. “The way I see it, is if she doesn’t want to get involved with you, why should I feel guilty about it?” she reasoned.
Michael shook his head. “I’d feel guilty,” he revealed.
“She’d never find out,” Lisa leadingly insisted.
He silently stared at her, unsure of what direction to take. He found Lisa attractive, and her level of intelligence exceeded most women he knew. Yet, he had an unsettling feeling about her suggestion that he couldn’t explain to even himself.
Lisa’s eyes attentively remained on him as she chewed on a piece of ice. It had been awhile since she’d indulged in a man, and her every loin wanted this one. She stood up, squeezing the dripping water from the cut off shorts, his white t-shirt exposing her full rounded breasts beneath its wetness. It had been a long time since he’d been with a woman, and she was the perfect specimen of one. Her wet blonde hair fell below her shoulders. Her slightly parted lips enticing him as she slowly pulled down the zipper of the shorts, allowing them to fall down her long perfect legs, showing her white lace panties over her alluring curves. She pulled the shirt from her body, dropping it to the twirling water as she and stood before him. His eyes examined her summoning body as he vacantly stared, afraid to move, or perhaps paralyzed by what his eyes beheld. He licked his dry lips as she drew closer, lowering herself down in front of him, slowly pressing her lips against his.
