Whispers
Hush, come closer so no one else can hear.
For what have to say, needs saying in your ear.
while I am around you, you have nothing to fear.
So why, oh why won't you come closer, my dear.
I am hiding in your shadow and walk your every step.
You try and up your speed, you haven't lost me yet.
When you decide to turn around can you except me with a smile.
you try to run, with a passion, but I am with you all the while.
So I wait, and one day you will turn with an embrace.
I am in so many shadows, but rarely show my face.
My whispers can be heard, by more then just a few.
I am everywhere, under a tree, in the wind, behind your pew.
For I am God, is what I said, as your fears melt away.
For some I whisper nothing more, so they can walk my way.
For many others like you, won't listen to words I say.
But now it seems more and more are placing hand to ear.
They're waiting for my whisper, for that I'm glad to hear.
The evil seeds are doomed, for nothing I can say,
will make them turn around, so with them I will stay.
You must understand me when I say; you need not me to hover.
The ones that need me now, are those I need to cover.
But remember I am always near if you need to hear my whisper.
Faith will have you in my hand, believers, both brother and sister.
Now you walk so slowly no fear, no worry, till the grave.
For what I whisper in your ear, that's simple, it's "I save".
I know, I know, this message I send
only makes you my fair weathered friend.
But I am here, always for all,
just listen to my whisper and I will listen for your call.

Inspirational poetry, written from the heart and soul. Verses that are well-suited for reading on a rainy day and that are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.
