Excerpt
I found a nice spot in the sun and had just settled down, when something landed smack in the middle of my nose! “Oops, sorry mister,” It said. “I didn’t know that you were here.” I had to look cross eyed to see this thing. It was a little tiny red dot, no bigger than a pea. It had tiny black spots on it, and it was walking around on the tip of my nose. “Hey, don’t bite me!” I yelled. “I’m not going to bite you, mister, I’m not a skeeter!” “What’s a skeeter?” I asked. “You know…a mosquito! Now THEY bite! But I don’t bite. I’m a ladybug. My name is Lilly ladybug, and I bring good luck!” She said. “Good luck?” I said. “Boy, I sure could use some good luck. I just found out that I’m a weasel, and I don’t even know what a weasel is! By the way, how’d you get here?” Lilly ladybug said, “I flew here and landed on your nose. I have tiny wings that carry me everywhere. You know… you don’t look like a weasel, you look like a dog!” “Ahh…shows how much you know!” I said. “I’m not a dog. I don’t even LIKE dogs…..except maybe… Sundance, Bandit, Bubba and Elvis.” “ELVIS!” Lilly ladybug yelled. “YOU KNOW ELVIS?” “Of course I know Elvis,” I said. “I live with him!”
