About the Author
Jill Diana Chasse, PhD, MPA, MSpsy, CHt, ACE is a maternal/perinatal mental health & wellness consultant with over 15 years experience working with expecting mamas and families. Jill works with individuals, families and organizations to help a mother fully "experience, understand and enjoy the magic of motherhood" by understanding the birthing process as well as the baby's development, encouraging interaction during pregnancy to increase psychological wellness for both mother and child and reduce the risk of perinatal mental health issues. Jill Chasse has published articles in the US and Canada and has lectured for La Leche League, Attachment Parenting International , and the Sudden Infant Death Syndrome Foundation, among others. She is also the author of "Baby Magic- a spiritual guide to mamahood," Babysitter's Survival Guide," "and Even When I'm Not There," among several other education publications. Dr. Chasse teaches online classes in pregnancy/bonding, child development, parenting, loss/bereavement, and more. She is also an educator, advanced clinical hypnotherapist and grief counselor and is certified by the International Association of Counselors and Therapists. She co-chairs the Communications and Development Committee of the Association for Prenatal and Perinatal Psychology and Health and is on the Board of Birth Options Alliance of the national capital area.
