Rise of the Mafia
What a fantastic different kind of story telling about the rising of mafia in Reno, Nevada! The writer, Al Moe has very well written the story describing the crimes done by gangsters. It illustrates the cultural imbalances and highlights the pin points on the rise of mafia in Nevada. This was an unusual story line relating Reno’s early days. I enjoyed the reading this with some pictures too

Regardless if your opinion of organized crime you will find this book fascinating and exciting. Nevada in the early days really had nothing to offer until the mob saw its potential. This book details the dealing of the east coast and the west coast mafia and their battles for the control of Reno, Nevada. This book tells you where the bodies and who done it. You will learn so much about the mob you might be afraid to start your car in the morning. This was one of the most enjoyable books I have read in a long time.

Mob City by Al Moe is a good descriptive history of the rise of the mafia in Reno, Nevada. I enjoyed reading this book and learning how the mob infiltrated Reno. The book also shows how in many ways the mob made Reno.
