For some reason -- I have lost where I came from. I don't know if I have a family for sure. I think I do. I am not even sure if I am married or not. I just keep on helping people stranded on the side of the highways of our nation, well, because someone helped me in that same way.
My name is Travis McKee. Maybe you've seen me and my Chevy Lumina on the side of an Interstate highway somewhere.
For some reason -- I have lost where I came from. I don't know if I have a family for sure. I think I do. I am not even sure if I am married or not. I just keep on helping people stranded on the side of the highways of our nation, well, because someone helped me in that same way.
So, if you see someone needing a little push, or maybe some gasoline. If you see someone
with engine trouble or a flat tire or worse. Do me a favor, please. Don't just drive by. Check the mile marker and use your cell phone or a pay phone
at the next exit and call the police and let them know. Pull over and help if you feel you can do it safely. Offer up a prayer for them or say "I hope
they get back on the road again soon."
It's that little pebble which makes the wave, not the big rock. And if you know my family - tell them I'm doing fine and will be home soon. I'm just
taking the long way around Farmer Brown's barn.
