This book, Introduction to Igbo Medicine and Culture in Nigeria is a collection of rich essays devoted to Igbo medicine issues in contemporary Nigeria. Over many years, the author has through teaching, research and publications made useful contributions to African studies, in particular, Igbo studies in the field of endougenous knowledge and healing pragmatics. In view of calls by readers and commentators, putting these essays together for a publication of this kind became necessary. I have therefore tried to build up the  Introduction to Igbo Medicine and Culture in Nigeria with the chosen  important essays in the book.
