With eyes like saucers and hyperventilating, Topazial watched in shock as Victory left her side and slowly moved into the opening! And what was even more astonishing, she saw that the deeper into the dark Victory ventured the brighter the inside became! Her reins tinkled loudly when she stopped and looked back at her owner, vigorously nodding her head. Topazial quickly went to her horse’s side and with her hand on the back of her neck, she allowed Victory to lead her forward.
She found herself in a place…an extremely bright place, and the girl realized that she was in a chamber! A chamber with jeweled walls and filled with golden glass mirrors! Her eyes darted here and there…up, down and all around! Large mirrors, small mirrors, standing mirrors, all sizes and all kinds of mirrors! On the ceiling, the walls, lying here and there, everywhere, there was nothing but mirrors! The only place where there weren’t any mirrors was in the middle of the chamber where there was what appeared to be… a natural pool. And upon closer inspection Topazial found that it was filled with the clearest bluest water she had ever seen!
She leaned over and peered into its waters and...
