If you have long wanted to experience a trip to a parallel reality, try immersing yourself in the world of dreams from the magical book of Tygo Lee.
Slumberland is such a delight! Specifically, this book is a unique alternative for using your imagination. Why? Well, this is a place where dreams and reality get all mixed up, like when an adult can travel back to his childhood, or when he can understand the languages of birds, animals, and plants.
Not only is Tygo Lee the main character of every story, but he shares his strange experiences with readers as they journey through the mysterious Slumberland worlds.
For me, stories from the book resemble colorful candies. If you try one, it will make you want more, tastefully unfolding scenes before your eyes with unusual creatures. It can be a huge, hairy monster, a talking bush, or even a magic spirit from Slumberland itself!
Definitely, a must-read. Sweet dreams!

Welcome to the fantasy world of Tygo Lee, filled with dreams, enchanted places, and new friends!
Though the book is about dreams, I’ve never come across something more realistic before! This was an enlightening and enjoyable read! The stories are written somewhat like fairy tales, and will surely be of a great interest for both kids and adults!
Slumberland is written in an easy-to-follow style. It is light-hearted, serious, and funny all at the same time. One moment, I was laughing about Tygo trying to avoid being fried up as a snack in Getting Ogre You, and later, I was deeply reflecting on his encounter with Sairah in the concluding and rather mystical tale of Slumberland!
Thank you, Tygo Lee, for providing me with such a wonderful opportunity to undertake an amazing journey into the land of dreams, which curiously has so much in common with life itself. I highly recommend this book to everyone!

Is it a dream, or is it real? That’s what Tygo Lee asks himself again and again in the seven fantasy stories as he slips into Slumberland in his dreams—sometimes as himself, and other times as a bird, jungle explorer, or a little kid.
What adventures he has, anywhere from the very scary (he finds himself in an Ogre’s frying pan) to delightfully funny (he needs to “play house” as Tygo the kid with the neighbor girl Katy and is rather disgusted about that). In the end, he has an encounter with his “dream director” who—well, I won’t tell you so as to not ruin the surprise here—but she insists that he try to think about what he has learned from each of his surreal (or real?) adventures.
This is really an interesting and thought-provoking book to read, something like I had never come across before that dealt with the topic of dreams. Tygo managed to do this in an amusing way that made me myself wonder—have I been dreaming, were these alternative realities of mine, are my dreams my true reality, or…? I’ll leave the answer up to you when you pleasantly make your way through this rather incredible book.

If you’re looking for something different to read, then a trip to Slumberland might be just for you. It’s a collection of wonderful stories by author Tygo Lee. Every tale has its own plot, but there’s a common thread running through all of them, it being an array of issues and ideas that we encounter in our day-to-day life—the things that you don’t think about often, or that you forget about. I really enjoyed “Remembering When”, because it struck so close to home, giving me that jolt to go out and do things to live more in the here and now. Not to mention, Slumberland is a blast to read, what with the creative writing and motivational language. So, if you’re looking for a book to spend a few good evenings with, I highly recommend it.

Wow, what an unusual book this was to read. Tygo Lee himself is the main character in each of the seven tales (no kidding), and he goes off into a dream world each time, called Slumberland, where he has the craziest, funniest, and even most heartwarming adventures I could’ve ever imagined! He wakes up as a bird in one of the dreams and flies around the neighborhood to chat with his neighbors (much to their surprise and disbelief), meets up with an ogre in another (who wants to fry him up for a snack), is in a jungle with Ana Conda (yeah, a big, out-of-sorts snake), and much more. What fun, and sort of spooky too, I gotta say. And it made me wonder how real my own dreams really are, or at least, if there’s something I’m supposed to learn from each one, as Tygo ended up doing for his. Very unusual, and now I am convinced that I definitely need to pay more attention to what I’m dreaming about in the future.

To tell you the truth, I’ve been searching for a book like Slumberland for quite a long time.
The collection of Slumber Tales is definitely meant for all ages. Slumberland has everything a great tale should possess: unexpected plot twists, kind humor, magic and lovely heroes. The fact that the plots are very close to reality makes this compilation of tales very special and helps to stimulate the reader, whisking him completely away and into its fabulous worlds.
Growing up, people accumulate knowledge, skills, and experience. For some, this experience is a springboard for further development, but some slow down, because they are afraid of repeating past mistakes. On the pages of his tales, Tygo Lee gives us an opportunity to rethink our experiences and clear up the perception of what is happening in our lives.
Characters share their recipes of dealing with problems and decorating everyday life with joy and positive thinking. I really adored Just Kidding Around, and the surprising experience of the author becoming a kid again. I would give a lot for the chance to go back in time and play and run and have fun the way only kids can do! The way Katy and little Tygo were choosing the game to play filled me with warm and unparalleled remembrances of being a kid myself.
Slumberland will teach you to remember the lessons you’ve learned and never cease to move forward, to value friendship and cherish memories and many more things for better understanding this complex world we live in.
