Thirty years after Amelia Earhart vanishes, the designer of her spy plane, now ex-CIA, becomes entangled with a young Amerasian, also named Amelia, who spurs his passion, plunges them into an explosive liaison against an old enemy's web of intrigue and terror.

Thirty years after Amelia Earhart vanishes in the Pacific, Vincent Carlson, designer of her spy plane, now ex-CIA, still searches for the answer to her disappearance. His obsession with A.E. changes when Amelia Adams, a young, mysterious Amerasian, linked to A.E. by more than name, walks into his life. She spurs his passion, but accuses him of killing her father, Vincent's chief mechanic at Lockheed.

Forced into an explosive liaison, their plight turns deadly when Ito, master spy and Vincent's enemy, spins a web of terror and treachery. Their search for the real killer takes them from Brisbane, Australia, to the Coral Sea, and Saipan. Each time they tighten the net, the killer cuts through it, thrusts Vincent and Amelia into more peril.

Excerpt

"My father's dead." The tears came now.
"Not Stan--I'm really sorry, Amelia. What happened?"
"They say it was an accident."
"What do you mean, they say?"
She focused on Vincent's eyes. "I think he was murdered."

Professional Reviews

Pat Oplinger's Take
AMELIA is a well-researched, fast-moving, action-packed book with a plot that climbs and soars before us page after page.
A prologue sets the historical scene from Lae, New Guinea in 1937 to a Viet Nam jungle in 1965.
Chapter One starts in 1967 in Brisbane, Australia when our hero, Vincent Carlson, designer of Amelia Earhart's spy plane meets young Amelia Adams, the daughter of his chief mechanic back at Lockheed.
Her father has just been murdered and she thinks Vincent did it.
The real killer is Vincent's old ememy and now runs guns to the Viet Cong.
Amelia and Vincent track the killer from Brisbane to the Coral Sea, and Saipan.
Film-style, the authors' clipped, pointed conversations and descriptions keep the reader turning pages. Sex, suspense, sanguine events are all in full force.
Even the logical, acceptable ending has a surprising and unexpected element.

Word Weaving Editor
AMELIA is speculative fiction about the search for Amelia Earhart thirty years after she disappeared.
Vincent Carlson, designer of her spy plane, meets young Amelia Adams, his chief mechanic's daughter, in Brisbane in 1967. Her father has just been murdered. She thinks he did it. Together, they have many misadventures trying to find the real killer.
AMELIA is action-packed and a great story as well. There are many great elements in the plot, including romance, trials and tribulations, misunderstandings between friends, espionage, and a surprise at the end of the story. The book will hook you.

Dee Lloyd's review
The fate of Amelia Earhart still captures the imagination. AMELIA picks up the story thirty years after the famous aviatrix vanished in the Pacific.
Vincent Carlson, the designer of her spy plane still searches for the answer to her disappearance.
The instant passion that flares between Vincent and Amelia Adams, a beautiful, mysterious, young Amerasian is complicated by her belief that Vincent killed her father, his chief mechanic at Lockheed.
Propelled by private motives, the pair fight their way through a tangled web trying to find the real killer.
The lovemaking on tropical islands is steamy and the action is fast moving and violent.
Vincent's nemesis, the immoral, wily, and exceedingly powerful Ito is a fitting villain.
The romance between the virile, stubborn Vincent and equally strong-willed and passionate Amelia has the ring of truth about it.
The writing style is terse and lean.
AMELIA is a page turner. It tells a powerful story of enduring loyalties, friendship and hatreds. Capably blended in with the mystery and the danger is the constant thread of a deepening love that will not be denied.
