Fortunately, Grandma arrives back from her trip to town just in time. She knows Hunter’s secret hiding
places and, noticing that he looks a little guilty, decides to investigate his kennel. Sure enough, Grandma pulls
Bennie from the stuffed-animal-loving dog’s cage. His ear is torn, but he is otherwise unscathed, and Grandpa,
Grandma, Austin and Bennie all share a big group hug.
Every small child has a favorite toy and can easily imagine how they would feel if it were lost. This personal relationship with the subject matter, along with the subtle mystery of Austin’s missing toy,

Grandpa went to Austin’s suitcase to get Bennie. He was not in there.
“Let’s look on the bed Grandpa. Bennie took a nap with me. Don’t you remember? Grandma gave him to me!” The tone in Austin’s voice intensified.
“Oh, is that so? Let’s call Grandma on her cell and ask her,” Grandpa responded.
After all, this was an emergency. The most cherished Bennie, a family member as far as Austin was concerned, was missing.
They tried twice to reach Grandma, but she did not answer her phone.
It was now up to Austin and Grandpa to find Bennie.

Short synopsis of the story: ‘Where is My Bennie?’ is a wonderfully written children’s story about Austin who loves his best stuffed animal Bennie. He and Bennie go on a visit to Austin’s grandparents’ house. Bennie gets lost and the story continues about a seek and find mission of Bennie. Bennie is found in a place where Austin and his grandpa would not think of looking making a very wonderful happy ending.
REVIEW - Please describe what you thought of the book: ‘Where is My Bennie?’ is a delightful children’s story of love for a stuffed animal. Authors April, Celeste & Ruby Robins do a wonderful job of sharing the adventure of Austin’s mission to find his missing ‘Bennie’. Any child reading this will sympathize with Austin and yearn to know if Bennie is found and where Bennie is found. The underlying story is one of storytelling magic and delight for all children. I highly recommend this children’s story as a delightfully told mishap turns into a ‘happy ending’.

An enchanting story with that essential ingredient for any child..a wondeful and Happy ending. There is much fun on the way too, as other lost items are found. Children will love this little adventure with Austin to find his precious stuffed Bunny.
Of course Grandma saves the day on her return, when she guesses what Hunter the naughty dog has done,.. Grandma's can always spot a guilty face. She finds it in his kennel.
A delightful story that is sure to become a firm favourite. Love, Diana.
