A cat has always been a favorite character in fairy tales in many different countries. Using magic, talking cats have stood out and are a very special group for storytelling. And when it comes to real animals, even without any supernatural powers, writers cannot resist giving them human qualities. Cats become the personification of goodness, sobriety, and wisdom, or on the contrary, of cunning and guile.
Furry Fables by Tygo Lee offers us magical stories about cats focused on their actions, character, and their perceptions of the world around them. I bet most anyone will find some familiar characteristics and behavior patterns to remind them of friends, acquaintances, or even they themselves.
I would call Tygo's tales in this book a “magical realism.” With the help of dreamlike stories, the author shares with us invaluable life experiences through the development of his imaginary furry friends, such as Mr. Wise Cat, Sticky Cat, the little kitty named Questioner, and many others.
I highly recommend this book to cat lovers who enjoy traditional fables with a lesson to be uncovered in each story.

It is not a secret that cats and books are quite a popular tandem. Cats have always lived in the oldest libraries of the world and there are quite a lot of books about cats, Furry Fables being an exceptional one.
Bright, original, witty tales from Tygo Lee are a fascinating encyclopedia of cat habits, talents, and lifestyles.
This is a book for any age. The characters of the narrative are so special: the kind and amusing Spooky the Cat, the dreamer Snoozer, the sweet, little kitty Calamity, and many more.
These fables can be very easy to read and are written sincerely and very warmly. To a certain extent, the text itself of Furry Fables is reminiscent of a cute cat who snuggled up comfortably on your legs, purring the whole time while you to enjoy the book to the very last page.
If you like magical scenarios and cats - this is the publication for you. Surprisingly similar to people and at the same time very special, these unique furry creatures created by Tygo Lee will answer your questions, and even give you very good advice on the pages of these thoughtful stories.

Furry Fables is a unique book by Tygo Lee that led to some enjoyable reading and thought-provoking morals to each story. I felt so bad for Mewzer, whose caretakers abandoned him to his fate when they had to move, and then laughed a lot when Little Cindy got her new kitty Bouncy that she loved so much.
This wonderful collection of stories will be entertaining for people who love cats as well as traditional fables. And hopefully, Tygo’s insightful writing will indirectly also teach us that having a cat or any animal as a companion in our house is a serious responsibility since they have physical needs and emotional feelings that need to be taken into consideration by their caretakers.

I’ve lived with cats for most of my life, so I really love reading some good cat tales. I found exactly that with Furry Fables. Each story has a different feline character, and personality, so in a certain sense, it’s like having a whole lot of books in one. I think Tygo Lee’s writing style is very powerful since I could “get to know” each of the cats in the fables quickly and easily, feeling and what they feel, and understanding the varying situations they were involved in. The cats “come alive” in his books, and in the case of this reading, there’s a life lesson applicable for us people in each one that makes it all the more enjoyable and worthwhile. I’m looking forward to reading more of his wonderful cat tales in the future.

What a nice mix of creative cat tales in Furry Fables that includes a good mix of humor, seriousness, and touching stories to keep the reading interesting throughout. “If We Could Turn Back Time,” a very emotional read for me, involved a kitty who unfortunately saw one of the older and much loved felines on his street pass away. He regretted not having had the opportunity to say how much he cared about him before that final moment—“If only he had known that...”—and this brought about memories to me of the sudden deaths of a couple of loved ones of mine in the past. That’s just one example of how impactful Tygo’s fables can be, and each story touched me in a different way. Recommended!

As a tremendous cat lover, I just couldn’t pass by this book. Even just pronouncing the title “Furry Fables” made me feel warm and cozy like I am sitting in my favorite armchair with my beloved cat on my knees, and enjoying the book to the sound of her mesmerizing purring.
If cats could talk, what tales would they share, what interesting stories would they tell, what lessons could we learn from them?
“Furry Fables” is a very special book. Reading it is like watching the standoffish world around transform into some nice friendly and more-right-than-wrong place you’ve always wanted it to be. 10 short fables just possess this magical power, believe it or not.
Most of the stories in the book are written in the first person singular. The first-person narrative is always the best way to communicate emotions and ideas to readers. The author has done an immense job creating such bright characters as Spooky the Cat, Snoozer the Dreamer, cat Rudy..all of them. I can’t but mention the great language effects of alliteration, onomatopoeia, and repetition used by the author to convey certain features and situations. This made the language of the book extraordinary exciting. But that is my inner philologist speaking!
Personally, my favorite character is Snoozer the Dreamer. He reminds me very much of myself and how difficult it can be to stay a dreamer no matter what and to find true friendship. Also, I was really impressed by the “If I were not me” story, where the idea of the importance of just being here and enjoying life to the fullest is developed.
Is it ok to be different, is it ok to occasionally have feelings of anxiety, and how do you form a completely new approach to friendship, family ties, and even life within a society? Just open “Furry Fables, ” and you will get these answers, and much more. I was pleasantly surprised with such a delightful read. Just try and dive into the magic world of cat’s stories and it will carry you away until the very last page.
