A controversial look at how government involvement into our parental discretion has ruined the lives of our children.
In our modern day society we have forgotten what is important for our children. Love, discipline, quality time,
Self sacrifice (that is a hard one), and yes… God.
Slowly but surely our government has crept into our homes and started control every aspect of our lives, especially our parental discretion. We have been asleep at the wheel while liberal do-gooders and a control hungry government administration has multiplied its power in the name of the people. With a new administration in office there sparks hope. But it will be a long road ahead to reverse the damage the big government has thrust upon us.
Society can no longer take the power of discipline discretion away from American parents and yet then hold them inevitably responsible for their youth downfall.
The good old days were just that good; our biggest fears a hundred years ago was war and disease. Most of those issues have now been resolved leaving our biggest plight, the rage of our youth. Youth left undisciplined and spoiled by government rules. Youth left fatherless because the ‘do what feels good’ generation has left them to fend for themselves.
Christianity, prayer, and God biased faith has been all but outlawed from our children where ever they go.
Our government has stolen our youth and our God, casually while we have been asleep at the wheel.
But when tragedy strikes, who do we call on…not the government but God himself!
Excerpt
Frustrated, Betty could no longer watch her baby slip away to nothingness as she vomited constantly, had the runs, and lost more weight. Against the states orders she reverted back to the 2% milk.
The State stepped in and took temporary guardianship away from Betty. Betty’s family lived on a limited income and it was difficult but they managed to pull together enough help to retain an attorney. After lots of money and court battles Betty finally got custody back of her little girl.
How, they found a physician that medically testified in their defense. He stated that although breast milk and formula was the commonly excepted way of nurturing infants, as long as Christine was developing and growing on cow’s milk, the child was not in danger.
By the time they won the rights to their child back she was old enough to drink cow’s milk from a tippy cup, and they were financially devastated.
What a waste of taxpayer’s money, Betty’s money and the courts time. I still suffer the shock that the DCS can come into your home at any time and tell you what you can or cannot feed your child. What a great example of the Government in your living room.

Hi,
How come so very few people at this time are
being attacked by the cps? It seems like I am the only one that is walking around with a ruined life with no job and basically homeless becuase of cps and the cusody interfernce. My children were stolen from me by cps and I was a wonderful mother that loved my children very much. Do you expect the amount of children the government steals to rise and if so how quickly? I feel that this is a direct attack upon the saints to break if possible even the chosen ones.

Excellent review! I also enjoyed your article on Catherine Crier's bulletin board. I am excited that you are working so hard to get the truth out, on behalf of families that are persecuted by our government. These actions will pressure our government into realizing that they are mere employees of "we the people," and that "we the people" require absolute accountability.
Only one idea that I believe, is that I don't really think that the court believed anyone is wasting their time (they only flatter themselves by making you believe that)...they strive on animosity and strife, and if there isn't any, the court, or one of their co-horts, i.e, guardian ad litem, or attorney, will intentionally create dissension. This is what it's all about. Power and money, at the expense of their destruction of families lives. In my personal experience with the court, a jack-ass could be the judge, as our laws, and constitution are obsolete, unless used for their benefit.
If you have the time, please read my memo posted to Catherine Crier's bulleting board and also check out my poll, re: Divorce-Custody cases on Court TV. That would really wake the general public up.

After reading the short exerpt from this book, I have to say I agree with Ms. Harrison. There are too many times when parents are not allowed to simply be parents. They are told how to discipline and told they are abusing their children if they spank them, and consequently we have children who grow into young adults with no respect of their elders and no thought of anyone but themselves. Children need discipline and someone and something to believe in.
In responce to the preceeding review, I the author, completely agree with Emily. Upon reading this book you will find that there is not substitute for parental involvment in their childrens lives. I agree 100%!
However, It was not my generation that stirred up these new laws, they were coming into exsistance when I was a very young single mother. At that time I was very niave and threatened by the government to do things there way..or else.
Now I am being threatened by the government now, but only because those same little children that I raised the Governments way 10 years ago have grown up undisciplined and have little respect for the law!
Thanks for the review, I should get this book out soon and hope that you will be able to read the entire book, I beleive we are on the same wave lenght. But not everybody agrees.

I think Ms Harrision correct with the point of this book, but only half correct. The other side of this issue is that there are many parents today who don't parent. Parents need to turn off the TV, spend time with their kids, discipline them, and teach them values. Our nation is at risk because of the goverment, yes. But the nation is also at risk due to the lack of good parenting on the part of most parents. We must look at ourselves as well as our government. It is, after all, our own fault for letting the "feel good" generation come into existence in the first place; for letting the government step into our homes; and both the Republicans and Democrates are to blame (the Dems like power, the Repubs say they will give back power to us, but never do. And we the people just sit by and watch sitcoms.).
I look forward to reading this book when it comes out. I am sure it is a great read.
