Lisa Klein's devotion and affection for singer Yale Frye causes her to put her life in jeopardy to save him at one of his concerts. In the hospital, after Lisa is shot, she develops more than a fan/star relationship with her idol. A guilt-ridden Yale suggests that Lisa go with him to his California estate to convalesce. Since the Klein home is barraged by the media, Ronnie, Lisa's husband agrees. While she recuperates the police try to solve the mystery of the shooting. As the facts of the case unfold Lisa becomes the innocent victim of an anti-Semitic cult whose vision is to annihilate Jews and Blacks in power and rid the world of their influence. Lisa bcomes and intergral part of Yale's life, and when a love relationship develops between Lisa and Yale, she must decide whether to return to her husband and sons, or stay with Yale. Meanwhile, the cult is calculating a new plan to destroy Lisa and Kill Yale.

Let It Be Me by Libbie Richman is an intriguing story that is woven in mystery, madness, murder, bigotry, sexual deviance and romance. Someone tried to kill Yale Frye, but why...who? The plan for murder is more complicated than just killing Yale, and now they've added Lisa to their hit list. Will she turn to her husband of twenty years for continued support and protection, or will she succumb to Yale Frye's charm and sex appeal, and consider his offer for safe haven. You'll be surprised. Libbie Richman pens a realistic story of something that cold very well happen any day in America. It's highly entertaining and I recommend it.

The style is light, perfect reading for a relaxing summer day! The ideas left in the reader's mind and emotions will long remain after this season passes!

Lisa has always been the good daughter, the good wife and the good mother, always putting her husband and sons needs before her own. But when Lisa risks her life to save her favorite singer and faces danger, she lives recklessly and immorally. The decisions Lisa makes are not always frowned upon in today’s society, but for this reader, I was very disappointed with Lisa’s decisions to act on her attraction to Yale Frye and betraying her husband.Libbie Richman is a wonderfully talented author who does a fabulous job of endearing Lisa Klein to reader’s, despite her choices. While I frowned upon Lisa’s actions, I still felt for her as a woman, a mother who lived for her sons and their needs and as a daughter who always wanted to live up to her parent’s expectations. Lisa faced many difficult decisions that most women never hope to face.This is Libbie Richman’s first book and I am definitely interested in reading more of her work in the future.

"Libbie Richman's debut novel reads like a story ripped out of tosay's headlines-a story that unfortunately is very plausible in today's society.
"Let It Be Me is actually a good book. The storyline is excellent; it falls right in line with americas fascination with celebrities and it is very contemporary. There is a wonderfully complex plot. This is Ms. Richman's first novel and she exhibits great potential. She is definitely an author to keep your eye on.
