This book was birthed out of my concern for those gripped by the fear of public speaking. So many people carry a message that will never be heard because they are too afraid to speak in a public setting. Not writing this book would have meant giving in to my own fears that whisper, “One small voice cannot make a difference.” I reject this devilish counsel! I am convinced that I can make a difference, even if it is just for a few.
This book is designed to empower people to freely speak their hearts and minds. You may be much more important than you may realize in the large scheme of things. You are potentially a difference-maker to someone who needs to hear what you have to say. You were given a voice and a message.
You may share many messages that will impact many people, or perhaps just a few. Whether you seldom speak or do so hundreds of times is not my concern. My concern is that you speak when it is your time, and that you never allow your voice to be muted by your fears.
Until now, some of you have limited your advancement because you refuse to speak in public. Others have refused to take a certain class because they know it involves public speaking. Still others have missed the opportunity to bless a son or daughter at a wedding or graduation because they couldn’t bring themselves to speak in front of a crowd. There is no need to live this way.
