I have been writing since a young child. Coming up abused like I did, I looked toward writing as My Savior, it literally saved me. There, I was transported to another world where I was free from harm's way; clear from the cruelty that followed me on a daily basis. When either reading or writing my own stuff, I was safe in the wings of words that cupped me in a world that wanted only to crush this little girl so I look upon writing to this day as a mortal Lifeline. It must flow like some fish in the sea must swim, or die...I chose to live in the embrace of Poetry.
